We had the absolute best time staying here. Imerovigli is a great spot that's away from the hustle and bustle of the other touristy spots but it's still close enough that you can walk to Fira for dinner.

We arrived later in the evening on our first night and were taken through everything we needed to know so we were set up for a great stay.

Timmy at Sunny Villas is an absolute asset to the hotel. He made everything so easy, provided heaps of great recommendations and is just an all round great guy.

The breakfast each morning on your private balcony is pretty epic and the pool and pool bar facilities were great too.

Wifi doesn't work that well in the room as you're in a cave so we just sat out on our private balcony in the evening with a glass of wine to connect up.

My partner and I recently stayed at Hotel Sunny Villas for 7 nights in June.

The hotel itself was perfect for us, we wanted to stay somewhere that was a little quieter than the main towns of Oia and Fira and ended up staying in Imerovigli which in our opinion have the best views for the famous sunsets whilst avoiding the crowds!! The transport links to Oia and Fira were great so we always had the option to go to either town via bus (if we didn't fancy the walk- about 30 mins to Fira and 2.5 hours to Oia). The staff provided all of the information we needed about getting around the island which was really useful.

We stayed in a superior room which was well decorated, clean, modern and felt authentic as it was built into a cave, the rooms had everything that we needed including a good sized fridge to keep our drinks in. Our favourite part about the superior room was the balcony, the balconies are private enough to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset or eat your breakfast which is promptly delivered upon request.

We were upgraded to another room for the last two nights of our stay which was just another way in which we felt the staff really went above and beyond and personalised the service they offered to us as guests. We could not fault the service offered and it was great to feel like a valued guest rather than just another number. As soon as we arrived at the hotel the staff offered advice on varying elements including transport links, the nearest supermarket, the best restaurants and the best trips. They helped us book restaurants that we had already planned to visit (Athenian House) as well as one that they recommended (Mezzo). They organised a boat trip for us (which was a brilliant trip that I would highly recommend) and helped us order some food from a local restaurant for delivery to our balcony one night.

Once again I would say that every member of staff at the hotel provided a personalised and friendly service which enhanced our experience of Santorini.

Arriving here is the kind of "wow" moment you dream about. The view is just incredible and you can watch the sunset from your own balcony. Your room is a "cave" with limited wifi coverage, but who cares as you will want to sit outside to take in the gorgeous views anyway. We arrived hungry in the evening and didn't want to miss the sunset, so the friendly receptionist brought us some take-away menus and the food was delivered in a heartbeat giving us an unforgettable evening in Santorini. Similarly, breakfast is delivered to your room in the morning, giving you a perfect start to the day. Note that some rooms have a walkway right in front of their balcony, but to be honest there are very few places in Santorini with complete privacy - and they don't come at these prices. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.
