We stopped off for lunch and was looking for somewhere to eat and came across the Kapari. To be honest it looked very expensive, and as there was no menu outside I was nervous about going in, but we took the plunge and were glad we did. The setting is beautiful with views over Skaros rock and the Caldera. We shared Greek salad and club sandwiches which were great and no more expensive than anywhere else on the island. A great find.

Booked this restaurant well in advance and was given an amazing table to watch the sunset. Service was top notch too. They even provided a scarf for my wife as it started getting windy. My starter was very good, risotto with squid ink and pan fried scallops. A 10/10. The octopus in the other was slightly chewy... Mains - sea bass was very good, another 10/10 but my lamb was probably over cooked and turned out a little dry. Dessers were very good too, just a little too big. The only problem we had was that there is practically no lighting on the terrace. I couldn't see what I was eating. They did provide a small lamp when we mentioned this.

We went here as a result of the Tripadvisor rating and we were really pleased just how good this place is. It is fine dining of the very highest order with wonderful, attentive but not over bearing staff in their most fantastic setting. We live in Ilkley with The Box Tree which enjoys, quite rightly a Michelin Star. This place must be very close. Really great quality...but book early, it gets full quickly, and no surprise. Amazing services even supplying pashmenas to the ladies as the evening cooled off. If you are coming to Santorini , get booked in here!

As we spend at least 2 to 3 weeks in Santorini every summer, my wife and I always try to have at least one "fancy" dinner in one of the island's best restaurants. We have been through them all, and unfortunately the quality in a few of them has its ups and downs from year to year. Having been disappointed with some of the "big" names last year, this August we decided on trying out Kapari which has been having consistently good review. And boy, were they right!

The location is absolutely stunning, right behind the Skaros (the big rock in front of Imerovigli), with an uninterrupted view of the caldera. The service is some of the best we have ever had on the island, with the waiters being extremely polite and friendly.

The food is excellent, a mix of traditional Greek flavours and nouvelle cuisine, as are the desserts, while the Vinsanto offered as a treat by the restaurant was a very welcome suprise.

I would recommend calling ahead to reserve in order to secure a table on the edge of the terrace and be able to enjoy the views.

Stunning restaurant perched on the edge of the caldera. Try the Santorini salad - capers, samphire and caper leaves. Delicious food in the most divine setting.
