Where do I even start. This place is amazing. The staff is out of this world. They do everything in their power in order to make your trip as special as possible. They provided us with a list of restaurants in each area and what to expect from each restaurant, as well as their favorites. The view from the room is beautiful, Santorini in general may be more beautiful than Hawaii. We stayed in a superior apt. and it was perfect, breakfast every morning on our patio. Some things that you should definately do while staying here and while in Santorini: Santo Winery- amazing views and good wine split the 12 glass tasting with cheese for about 19euro. Thalasses (spelling) Sunset Cruise- included a tour up to the volcanos and had complimentary wine, make sure you don't wear a white bathing suit if you chose to bath in the sulfur waters they will leave a stain. We rented an ATV one day and traveled the whole island and it was a blast, this was set up through the unreal staff at the hotel. The day we rented the ATV we went to ancient thira, red beach, black beach, oia, and amoudi bay. The only negative I have to say is that the pool was a little cold, we visited in May so I imagine the temperature will be more reasonable as the summer months come. One other thing to note about the island of Santorini, they have old plumbing and don't flush toilet paper, just giving you a heads up. Overall Santorini is a great place and the Anastasis Apartments are awesome. Make sure you get your greeek ready because Despina will force you to learn, it is great wish I was still there!!!

We stayed for a couple of nights at the end of our holiday and were not disappointed after reading the reviews on TA. We stayed in the White Suite and it was just amazing! The views from our balcony were awesome and will be somthing we'll never forget. Our private garden with jacuzzi was also a highlight. We didn't budge for 2 days just to relax and enjoy such luxury. I could imagine this would be a perfect way to spend a honeymoon. The location of the apartments is also ideal, as you can get into Thira (capital) in about 5mins even though you feel out in the middle of nowhere. I can't recomend enough.

We have been at Anastasis for almost a week now, departing tomorrow. Everything from the previous reviews is correct. Despina demands of her staff an impossible level of perfection, yet they deliver and for a fraction of the cost of five star luxury hotels elsewhere that don't come close to matching this sevice level. We checked in very late due to a flight cancellation of Olympic Airlines, and we arrived to candles lit throughout our room, a wonderful midnight snack with wine and a lovely half-hour talk with Despina.

From that moment, everything has been perfect. If the staff see you walking towards the gate with packages (which they do due to the cameras everywhere), they will be there within seconds to help you. If you say "no, that's not necessary" to the first staff member, another will be there within seconds to insist. All done very politely. If you make a move to put an umbrella up by the pool, they will be there to do it for you. Chilled water is brought to you as soon as you sit down.

The staff anticipate the questions you have about the island and give you a half-hour introduction with excellent recommendations everywhere. If you want a rental car, they handle all of the paperwork - you just need to give them your license and a credit card. Then they are always available for anything that you need. We asked about some of the local deserts and were immediately provided with samples that Despina had just baked in her kitchen. As other reviewers have noted, you are with family here.

Our room (a junior suite) was perfect - great view, simple, luxurious. Fresh flowers every day. There are no signs anywhere at the hotel, which is a very nice touch: no room numbers, nothing in the bathroom about saving the world by not having your towels laundered, about how to work the toilet, etc...

Breakfast was served every morning to our balcony at exactly the same time - they ask what time you want it and what you want for beverages at check-in - and was always very nicely presented. Perfect amount of food, and even a bouquet of flowers for my wife on Mother's Day.

As of this writing, TripAdvisor ranks Anastasis the best in the world with regards to service. I can't disagree. Despina, Katerina, Dina and the others do an amazing job. We booked almost a year in advance and I'm glad we did. Don't stay anywhere else - wait until you can get into Anastasis.

A one week stay at the Anastasis was like a week in paradise. The hotel is physically beautiful. It's a new property that shows great respect for the feel and essence of traditional Aegean elegance but with excellent, modern amenities. The unique and special flavor of the Anastasis is the consistent and superb level of personal service offered by the charming staff. There was never a request too unwieldy, a need too great or a service too difficult to resolve within minutes. This was true with respect to travel recommendations, pool cleanliness, room service, and overall pampering. Unlike the fancy hotel chains that try to impress with their grand lobbies and chandeliers, the Anastasis fits right into the leisure environment of Santorini but also sustains a quiet dignity that makes it possible for the visitor to unwind and relax without being assaulted by hucksters, time-share operators or even other overly noisy guests. It sets a new standard for vacation accommodations. And this does not even mention the breath-taking view from all the guest rooms as well as from the pool and other common areas. You will be staying with family when you arrive at the Anastasis -- and by this I mean the kind of family that looks out for you and knows when to give you peace and privacy.

In one word: paradise. Despina, Katerina and the entire staff go above and beyond to meet all of your expectations all day, everyday. My boyfriend and I both agreed that this was a trip of a lifetime that we will forever be thankful to have taken part in. The Anastasis Apartments are pure perfection in every sense of the word. Despina (and staff), we cannot thank you enough for everything! Hopefully we will be back one day!! Yassas!

My husband suffers like most with a stressful job and I tried my very best to find him a holiday that gave him a break. From the moment we booked, Despina gave us a first class service. Due to an airline problem we spent 9 hours at Athens airport, so arrived a little frazzled and tired. Our cases were whisked from our hands and we were led to our room. When we walked around to our room I can honestly say it took my breath away... it was like walking into a postcard.
Our room had been prepared early so we could book in and get some rest. The immaculate room was stunning and this was the superior room, a mid range room. When we woke we had a chat with Despina about where to go, what to see, how to get around the island and our first greek lesson. (Don't worry she only expects you to say hello, goodbye and good morning by the end of the holiday.) She had a lovely snack ready for us to keep us going until we knew what we were doing for our evening meal. The staff are beyond belief, if you try do anything yourself within range of one of Despina's little cameras, you hear a buzz of a walkie talkie and like a flash you have someone doing it for you. I had Spiros (my little dedicated helper) vaulting a ten foot wall to put my parasol up.
Our breakfast came each morning laid out on a white cloth wherever we wanted it. I could go on....but be quick....this place is no secret anymore....we went in April and it was fully booked....whilst the rest of the island had their paintpots out freshening up their pristine walls for the start of the season, Despina was running a tight ship, a first class establishment, making sure that nothing was too much trouble for her guests.
The private rooftop jacuzzi at sunset was the highlight of my holiday. Don't go here if you want a buzz, or you have a flock of children, or if you have mobility problems. The rocky path to the fantastic local bars and shops means sensible shoes. The bus service is regular and goes everywhere but is like a white knuckle ride coasting the cliff edges, so be brave. The locals are friendly... just go, relax, sit in the postcard with some meze and local wine. Breathe and get your life back...if only for a little while..

Our experience of this lovely accommodation brings to one vitally important aspect to the fore- SERVICE - Despina and her team deliver exceptional service , personal and dedicated caring to her visitors, this complements the high level of accommodation she offers - to the extent that I fear she puts her Guests before her personal wellbeing.
She has rightfully received accolades from the vast majority of visitors , on a number of occasions she put herself out to ensure that we had a most fabulous stay in her accommodation - she even went so far as risking family conflict (with her sister- owner/manager of another establishent, by getting us a one-night stay at excellent price en-route to Folegandros - ferries had been cancelled and diverted prior to our booking at Anastasis and we had to make an unscheduled overnight stop in Santorini) - somehow after reading reviews and not having even met Despina , I knew she would help us out.

Despina rightfully doesn't suffer fools kindly - but she also treats her guests with caring, respect and LOTS of support (what a negotiator on good car rental deals!! )- she is a really fabulous person - the same applies for all the staff - we will definately visit again!!
