We stayed 4 days at Apollo Villa in the Pantheon Villas in June this year. It was fabulous. Wonderful room with great views of the caldera and the world famous sunsets. This is a genuine boutique hotel - small and with a distinctive character. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and I reserve a special mention for Cali (Caliope) a bubbly enthusiastic extroverted person who can't do enough for you. But this does not exclude all the other staff in the restaurant and reception who are exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful.
Its a very good hotel and really suited for a relaxed holiday in beautiful peaceful surroundings.
The boat trip in the caldera, around the volcanoes and hot springs are well worth it and Oia is a special place.

Room Tip: The Apollo Villa is great. In the front of the hotel and thus with uninterrupted views of the calde...

We arrived for a week on 27th May 2013. We had a beautiful, spotlessly clean pool view apartment. Light, spacious, airy and very quiet. The staff are so friendly, cheerful and so keen to make our stay as perfect as possible. Kali, Lucas and Lefteris in the restaurant couldn't do enough for us. Maria and Victoria in reception were helpful and ready with information on trips and advice about the local area. I would recommend walking to Oia and taking the boat trip to the volcano and hot springs.
Pantheon Villas are slightly isolated, 25 min walk to local shops or restaurants but the seclusion is wonderful with amazing sunsets. The peace and tranquility was what we wanted. You can find more life in Imerovigli and Fira (Can recommend Nick The Grill in Fira for delicious Gyros!)but it is nice to come back to Pantheon Villas. Always assured a warm welcome. The food in the restaurant is delicious - portions are slightly overwhelming, you'll never go hungry! Huge selection at breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, cooked breakfast or just coffee and freshly squeesed orange juice.
The sunsets over the Caldera are the best on the island. I couldn't fault my stay!

Room Tip: Hercules fronts the pool with a lovely private terrace that is shaded in the evening. Perfect for a...

Having travelled to over 50 countries, I have to say that our week stay in The Apollo Villa at Pantheon Villas was one of the best experiences we have had.
Totally relaxing which was the purpose of the holiday especially with our 11 year old grand daughter.
The staff were absolutely brilliant from Victoria and Maria in reception to Kali and Leftus who made sure our stay was as peaceful and enjoyable as possible. Nothing was too much for them. Great staff. Especially Kali, who introduced us to FROZEN YOGHURTS. Mmmmmmm.
You have to try these if you stay here.
Our favourite place to visit was Oia, with its beautiful views and very greek atmosphere. Great little shops and taverners/restaurants.
Beware that electric to the bank ATM's is switched off between 11pm and 10am
Would recommend this holiday to people who want to relax and enjoy the very serene surroundings.

Room Tip: Email Pantheon Villas and put requests in before travelling.

We recently spent a week at the Pantheon Villas in a poolside villa, and had a fantastic stay. The loaction is supurb, it's situated right on the cliff which gives you fantastic views out to the sea, and on clear days, you will see amazing sunsets. The location is somewhat isolated, down a road along the cliff, but this makes it very quiet and peaceful. Hiring a car or quad for a day or two to explore the island is a must. However, there are shops and restaurants within walking distance, and if you wanted to walk to the capital it would probably take about 45 minutes.

The hotel has a large pool, a childrens pool, a jacuzzi (unfortunately though this wasn't heated, so it was quite cold), a small sauna room, and adequate sunbeds and chairs around the pool area. There was a "gym area", however this simply consisted of two multi gym equipment pieces that looked a bit tired (you are on holiday though, give the gym a miss).

Breakfast was very good, and everything was cooked to order. Options included fruit platters, cereal, omelettes, bacon, scrambled egg, and assorted pastries and cakes. We went half board, which I think gave good value, as eating out in Santorini can be very pricey. Each night we had a 3 course meal; the quality of the food was generally good, however it was a bit "samey", and we did tend to overdose on risotto and cheese (they put a lot in their dishes). Another slight complaint was that they werent using hot plates, and sometimes the food did tend to go cold very quickly due to this. We did decide to eat out for a few meals though, and one restaurant which was fantastic was "Senor Zorba", which was a Mexican restaurant with an absolutely huge menu, and you could have unlimited rib racks! It's owned by a very animated American lady, who kept us entertained with very funny stories. Definately worth a visit (go with a heavy apetite!).

All of the staff at the hotel are absolutely fantastic, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Karli, the young waitress was an absolute star and really looked after us. On a day when we decided to eat out one evening instead of dining at the hotel, we informed the staff and they allowed us to have lunch at the hotel instead (in place of the evening meal), which was very thoughtful.

The room itself was very comfortable. We had a fridge, cutlery, small dining table, air con, a balcony, sofa, and tv with a dvd player (bring your own dvd's). Each day the maids would clean the room, make the beds and tidy the bathroom. The bed was nice and large, and the matress very comfy.

Overall I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Just bear in mind if you do decide to book that the location is somewhat isolated, however if you are after peace and solitude, then this is the place to be.

Just returned from this amazing place with the view of the Caldera with the most wonderful sunsets. We had the Apollo villa which was perfect for us as I am disabled so the ground floor bedroom with its bedsitting room was great. It overlooked the pool & the outstanding views.
Our granddaughter had the top bedroom which had panoramic views & her own bathroom. She loved it.
I have to tell you how the staff were incredible. So helpful & friendly.Kali is the most lovely person & Leftas was so curtious.& kind.Thank you.Maria & Victoria were very helpful on reception too.
We stayed half board & decided it was a good decision because we had a car & travelled all over this unspoiled island so ate beautiful fresh fish & experienced fresh greek dishes. We particular loved Oia which is nearby.
There were a few weddings while we were there which made the place really extra exciting. What a wonderful setting to get married in.
The total experience was marvellous.
If you want to stay in the best position on the this magical island stay at the Pantheon Villas.
Everything was perfect & it will always be in our memories.
PS) The iced frozen yogurt drinks are to die for !!
Thanks again all at Pantheon. You made our holiday Love you all especially Kali xxx

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view facing the Caldera

We have just had a week here to kickstart our honeymoon, beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms and wonderful friendly staff. This resort is on a hill and reasonably pricey (food wise) but if you have breakfast included its fine. We stayed in a villa with private pools which are all named after gods we stayed in Athena which was perfect for us! Two roof terraces, a kitchen a pull out sofa bed and a lovely jacuzzi/pool. Although the pools are heated its still refreshing if you have had a bit too much sun they will be lovely and warm I think by June/July. Special thanks to karli, Victoria, Maria and lefteris!! Who made our stay all the better with warm smiles and very helpful information. We shall return!! Highly recommended

We spent 8 days at the Pantheon Villa's and I'll start with the positives. The views from the hotel are simply stunning, and you get an excellent view of the sunset from the restaurant every evening. All of the staff are amazing, really helpful and polite. Special thanks to Karli, Victoria and Maria. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The wifi is free and you get a really good reception wherever you are. If you hire a car through the hotel the prices are fairly reasonable and you have the option to pay an additional 10 euros for full insurance.

It's easy to get around the island, the buses are cheap (1.60 euros) and the bus stop is 500m from the hotel.

Lunch at the hotel is quite nice, but a little pricey.

Now the negatives. I would not class this hotel as a luxury hotel, chipped wooden furniture, chipped tiles and plastic shower curtains let it down slightly.

It's located a 25 mins walk from the nearest shop (up hill), which is OK is you want a nice walk but a long way if you want to stock up on water and you have no car !

If you are not half board, dinner is quite expensive. We did have half board and the menu was fairly limited with just 2 options to choose from for a main dish. However, if you don't like what's on offer then they will quite happily give you something else, but I hope you like risotto rice as it comes with most meals.

Breakfast is supposed to start at 08.00 but the hot food was not coming out until after 08.30.

It's not worth paying the extra money for a villa and private pool, you are better off taking one of the rooms that face the pool and caldera.

All the pools are freezing cold, including the jaquzzis !

Book your trips in Thira and not at the hotel as they are quite pricey with Kamari tours.

Overall, this is a really nice place to stay, and I would recommend it if you want peace and quite. However, if you want a place that's more traditional then Oia is the place to stay.

One more thing, you get a lovely bottle of wine in your room when you arrive, and although we were grateful for it (and it was quite nice), a bottle of water would have been better after a long journey.

Room Tip: pick a room facing the pool
