My husband and I stayed here on our 25th anniv trip to Greece. We spent 2 nights. Hoping for an upgrade, I asked, but we were put into a small double (apartment). The toilet ran. There was no shower curtain, so water ended up all over the floor, and had one of those hand-held deals. You had to turn the water heater on (and off) to get hot water, and it was very noisy. The bed was comfortable, for Greece. We were told you can't drink the water, so were given a bottle when we arrived. There is a kitchenette area with a small refrigerator. There were a couple dishes, but not one piece of silverware, and no bottle opener or corkscrew or anything. The water wasn't replenished the next day, and fortunately, we had some that we'd brought on the ferry from Athens, because one bottle of water doesn't go very far. I had internet the first night, but then nothing the next morning. I asked them to fix it, and they didn't know how, and so, we were without for the rest of the time there. We asked them to call our airline to inquire about something, and were told to go to the airport and talk to them ourselves. The breakfast was very good, with omelette crepes, and cheese pastries, crepes with nutella, bacon, croissants, Greek yogurt, etc., buffet-style. When we inquired about dinner, there wasn't much thought put into making suggestions for us, so we were basically on our own to find something. The deck looks out over the caldera, and is a spectacular view. The pool is tiny, not even big enough to swim around. You just float around, cool yourself off, and get out.

The location was hard to find. Take the road toward Oia, turn off at Imerovigli, and go straight through (don't turn left), go past Jimmy's Rental Car, then turn right, go over the speed bumps, and through a narrow passageway, get to the parking at the end, where you have to park. Then walk all the way down the path, and Ilioperato is at the end. I inquired about pick-up at the port, and drop off at the airport. It was 17 euro each person each way. This is why we rented a car. It was the best idea. Cheap, and got to see the entire island on our own. We had to go to the airport, as mentioned above, to inquire of our airline.

Overall, we paid well over $200/night for this place, and in our opinion, it wasn't worth the cost. There are plenty of other places along that strip with just as beautiful views that looked to be better quality.

The moment we stepped in, I was spellbound by the view! There are no words which can describe the ambiance...one just has to feel it in person. The hotel exceeded our expectation in all respects! Excellent accomodation, awesome service, cleanliness and breakfast. We made use of the kitchenette also. Kids loved the pool. The location is a bit off, so I'd recommend a rental car, specially if the stay is in peak summer. The rate is a bit high, but all worth it!

Would highly recommend!

Room Tip: We're in a family suite with two rooms, and loved it!

After many hours of researching hotels and different locations to stay, we decided on this hotel. It was our first time in Santorini, and we wanted to really take our time in making our decision. The reviews were all excellent, and Imerovigli seemed like the perfect town to stay. Quieter than Fira and Oia, with majestic views of the caldera and sunset. We were blown away by the views offered here at Ilioperato. We stayed at the 2nd floor, with our friends right next door. We had a huge terrace overlooking the caldera; it was breathtaking!! Flora and her staff were excellent; always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered was plentiful. The pool was tiny, but refreshing; as you relaxed on the lawn chairs, you had the best views of the caldera, the mountains, and the deep blue sea. The rooms were very well kept, our room wasn't air-conditioned, which panicked us; however, we were reassured because the room was built into the cave, it is naturally cool, they were right!! It was very comfortable. We took taxis to the beach a couple of times, it was arranged through Flora. We went to the Black Sand Beach at Perivolos. Was simply gorgeous!! The water was clean; cool; the beach side service outstanding; They couldn't do enough for you. The black sand was quite hot. However, if you don't want to take a taxi, there is a bus stand not too far away from the hotel. You can take it to Fira, Oia and to the beaches. The only negative comment I can say about the hotel, are the showers......a full size shower curtain would be lovely!
Santorini is truly beautiful, a natural wonder!

Room Tip: We stayed on the 2nd floor; we found it was quieter, felt more private, and had the nicest terrace

You should know that in Santorini everything is overpriced. When you know that, Iliopera is great! One of the best hotel I've ever been! The view is amazing, (all the rooms have the caldera view). Flora and her family are great, they helped us for everything (from the luggage to the restaurant booking). The breakfast is simple but very good. The pool is small but it is like this everwhere in Santorini so nothing to complain. Moreover, the hotel is at the end of the village so it very quiet and relaxing.
If one day, I have the chance to go back to Santorini I'll go there.

Excelent quality, amazing view of the caldera and the sunset. It's not necesary to to to any other place to see the sunset. You have it here all for you, Very good price for Santorini standarts.

Room Tip: All of the have a good view, so...
