“Best hotel ever stayed in!! Decent price with magnificent view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

This hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!

Location:
There are two main parts of Santorini travelers often visit, Fira/Thira and Oia. And Imerovigli is kind of in the middle of them. From Santorini ferry port, I took a shuttle to Imerovigli. It costs 25 euro for two people but I overheard that a group of 5 girls pay 50euro. So if one is travelling in a large group, seems that you can bargain a bit with the shuttle service company. It takes around 30 minutes from the port to the hotel. But please be reminded that there are A LOT of stairs in Santorini. And my friend and I carried two luggage walking down the stairs until we reached the hotel. Not a big problem though. Stairs are all around Santorini.

One of the host, Markos is super friendly! He told us that the hotel is situated on the main pathway to Oia and Thira. It takes around 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel to Thira. And my friend and I hiked to Oia for around two and a half hrs to Oia. Spectacular view along the way to Oia!

Room:
Very clean and well equipped. Beds are good as well. Sunset from the balcony is magnificent! There are comfortable chairs outside the rooms, and there are three sunbathing chairs on the rooftop.

There is a small kitchen in the room, with wine glasses provided. My friend and I bought a bottle of wine and salad from Thira. And we enjoyed the best sunset view on the rooftop. Fantastic experience!

Plus there is a TV in the room but we didn't even try to turn it on for the two whole days because why bother when there is the most beautiful sunset just on your doorstep.

Host:
Markos and Chris are the two hosts and both of them are super friendly. Service is fantastic and the breakfast made by Chris is a MUST-TRY! It costs 5 euro per person with coffee, orange juice, croissant, toast with jam and butter, oranges and Greek yogurt. I will never forget that delicious breakfast, esp. the Greek yogurt with honey!

I think Anita's Villa is a great hotel with the best view/sunset in Santorini and the best service! If I travel back to Santorini, I will definitely stay in this hotel again!

This hotel is horrible!! STAY AWAY!!!! We stayed here based on previous reviews and were ready to check out the first night, but couldn't find an open hotel near by with an open reception to take our reservations. When we arrived, at 5PM,the reception area was closed and we found our room by chance from a note left there by management. Rooms are extremely dirty. The bathroom in our room was full of mold. The kitchen was horrendous. The beds were hard and stiff. There was NO TV in our room. We informed the management, on the next day of our arrival, and he said he would try to fix the antenna to be able to have TV upon our return from the day's exploration. When we got back, the TV was not working still and the management just offered us to watch TV at the rooftop terrace. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHAT SO EVER!!!!!! We did get very upset when he came to our room, and his answer was...."I do not have a TV technician". Unfortunately, we are still here for one more night...HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

It's the most beautiful house I have ever lived the room we were assigned had a fully functioning kitchen and there is a beautiful view of a hill right from the balcony and offers a spectacular sunset and the most beautiful part of our stay was the breakfast prepared personally by Chris our host and who has been very friendly and helpful.

This place is suitable for for singles to couples and I would personally recommend all my friends to live here if they are visiting Santorini.

Room Tip: Be prepared to walk as taxi can't reach to the hotel door well it's Santorini :)

Anita's was a family hotel and we couldn't speak highly enough of their hospitality during our stay. The evening meal (which was included in our package) was authentic home cooked Greek cuisine - beautiful ! The Rooms were a little tired and in need of some reno, which I believe was being carried out at the completion of our stay. Definitely a car would be required to be able to see the Island as public transport is not reliable at all, even though we weren't far out of the city centre.

Amazing view!! Good value for money and nice that it's not in the middle of Oia or Thira (if you want to get away from the crowds at night). The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly, sorted us out with cabs and a place to stow our luggage after we checked out but still wanted to walk around Thira before catching our ferry. Nice rooms as well, clean and feel very traditional.
