Just come back from 2 weeks and had a fabulous time.
We got there late at night and had booked a cheaper room (mountain view) and was immediately offered an upgrade by Dora on the desk (who I must say was very welcoming and helpful) at 5 euros per night so 70 euros got us this amazing sea view and huge family room right next to the main pool.
Food was absolutely brilliant, the choice was unlimited, all the basics at every meal and however much you wanted. There was never a day where we couldn't find anything that we fancied.
Maid came in 13 days out of the 14 so no complaints there, towels and sheets changed regularly.
Brilliant shuttle service to the beach leaving the hotel at 9am and 10am and returning at 3pm and 6pm saves the 10 min walk up a steep hill in the sweltering heat.
Bus service once a day into Heraklion only cost 6 euros per person return best day to go is Saturday as they have a huge market bus leaves hotel 10.15 and choice of 2 returns one at 2.15 or 5.15 if you want to make a day of it. Was great day out .
Cash point down in Agia Pelagia just off the beach which was handy.
Nice walk down to the quieter beach of Ligaria but again really steep hill to get back up, definitely worth the walk.
Staff really helpful and very friendly, all types of entertainment going on at different times of the day and evenings, water polo, aqua aerobics, French boules etc and a great greek night once a week on top of all the rest of the entertainment as well.
Bar staff really quick and efficient, when there was a queue they served very quickly so you didn't wait too long.
Waitresses in the dining room continually clearing tables so to ensure clean free tables at all times, they worked really hard.
All in all we had a fabulous chilled out holiday would definitely recommend if you looking for a quiet break in a stunning location away from the main towns and all the noise.

Room Tip: Definitely either book a sea view or Up grade as it's absolutely stunning and air con at 5 euros...

Stayed for a week and could of happily stayed another week. Peaceful with stunning views. Even though we didn't go in the summer holidays when the kids entertainment is better, my 3 year old still really enjoyed himself. The adults entertainment on a night was fun. I enjoyed the food, was always something nice to eat, even if it was a little repetitive (mainly at breakfast) but then again i do eat the same cereal at home everyday. We enjoyed the walk down to the beach (the beach is mainly pebbles but still enjoyable, i got a massage on the beach, in the sun, bliss.) and shops then we would get the bus back up. We went on a speed boat at the end of the holiday, quite expensive for what you get but a memorable experience. You can get a bus into Heraklion aswel. Panorama is a 3 star hotel and you can see that in some areas (the sink had cracked pieces underneath that were held in by masking tape) but it was clean and well looked after otherwise. The staff were friendly. If you are all inclusive and enjoy a drink just be aware that you can only get 1 alcoholic drink at a time per person before 7.30pm then its 2 at a time until 10.30pm when all inclusive stops. With us having the kids this didn't really bother us. We did get one night to ourselves in which we went down to Paradise bar, the drinks seem expensive but we ended up with 2 cocktail shakers full of free shots. Over all a beuatiful place, your holiday is what you make of it. Enjoy x

Just got back from a thoroughly enjoyable week at Village Panorama. The room was a lot better than we were expecting, very spacious. The bed was a bit firm for my liking though. It was cleaned every day with fresh sheets and towels. The location of the hotel couldn't be better with stunning views of the bay. The walk down to the beach isn't at all difficult nor on the way back.
The staff at the hotel were all very friendly, especially the bar staff. Special mention must go to Memo the animation guy, he is an absolute legend and really made the holiday more enjoyable.
The only downside was the food, it was not great at all but considering the price we paid, I'm not all that surprised. The salad is ok though. If you do get hungry, there is a great little kebab shop by the beach worth visiting. Also be sure to check out a bar called Bloom as well, lovely place and the owner is an extremely nice lady who will go out of her way to make you feel welcome.
All in all a great week and I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews and gave Village Panorama a chance.

2 beaches/bars/restaurants 10 minutes walk away - steep climb back up but worth it for the views. Yes hotel needs a bit of sprucing up in places but from what the locals were saying everywhere was really quiet last year so they really appreciated our custom. Food good and plenty of it with loads of salad. To note - we didn't see a bank in the village & take your own shower gel as none was provided! Quiet pool was so relaxing. A simple quiet place which is exactly what we like about Greece.

Room Tip: We had a room with mountain view but still had a view of the sea

When we arrived, we had no expectation, as the reviews were mixed. Let me tell you, the food was incredible, the staff were more than helpful, the rooms were clean and safe, the location was stunningly beautiful, and beach was 10 min away by foot. For an all-inclusive at roughly £30/per night, you really can't complain about anything. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.

Room Tip: If you do stay here, rent a car from the airport. Car rental is cheap and you can get around the is...

Pretty good hotel, excellent location. Weaknesses:
1. Daily cleaning superficial.
2. towel change leaves much to be desired
3. if you ignore the day mosquitos ..... melted. I purchase liquid device approx. 6.5 Euro in the village and I always kept in wall outlet
4. hotel bus to Iraklion 6 Euro / person round trip without a ticket or receipt (the table made at reception) to market Elefteria
5. lunch given to "package" if the trip's departure mockery (after the second trip I left the reception and after the third I left out and still there I found at 19 PM). So turned all inclusive for 4 days half board. At 21 pm the dining room closes and if the guide does not get in touch to reception and salt over dinner ...
6. Knossos trip to do alone but without guide: 6.5 Euro bus to hotel Elefteria market. The bus station is about 100m from Knossos: 1.5 Euro / person
Good Points:
1. Worthwhile excursions offered by tour guides but pretty expensive
2. Christian Tour Guides excellence! Everyone. CONGRATULATIONS to this company.

Visited May 2013, fairly nice room overlooking the kiddies pool and the sea, surprisingly this pool was hardly used so very quiet,(bed rock hard) wouldn't say this place is particularly disable friendly as lots of steps so ask for a room on the flat if you have any issues. Nice 10 minute walk to the beach but bit of a hike back up! Food was ok, would have got bored if there for longer than a week. Hubby was a bit disappointed that Brandy wasn't included in the all inclusive deal and no explanation why, spirits were also only served after 7.30, was fine with us but slightly deceiving as it didn't say this on our booking, heard lots questioning why they could only have beer or wine up until 7.30, stops the drunks I suppose?! All in all, a nice quiet relaxing holiday, little or no entertainment in the evening but again this wasn't an issue for us.

Room Tip: Pay for a sea view.
