“Breathtaking views, sense of an “all inclusive hotel””

Essence of thyme from the moment you get off the car combined with a view that can not be included in a photo. Warm and generous welcome from the owners, clean and elegantly decorated interiors with attention to detail. As we were introduced to the property ( 6 adults, 2 children) we could not keep our mouth closed. The top surprise was the private hammam room although the kids (6 and 8years old) went crazy with the kids room with the slide and their private veranda with a tower playground with swings and slides. We opted for daily breakfast in the villa (by the chef) which was delicious. There were tons of information, for day trips and activities as well as recommendations from the owners (very good ones). We opted for the sailing at Dias island, with launch on board (great experience). The villa is very wisely designed, and we were feeling very comfortable all the time. We all concluded that in this villa, the owners have gone above and beyond. Personalized services, privacy, excellent construction, view, view, view (!), great recommendations, close to Heraklion airport and most importantly it is in the middle of the island of Crete which served greatly as a “the perfect base” for our excursions to both east and west. We had a great week, all of us.

We all had a wonderful week in the villa my friends and I. The villa is incredible inside and outside, the view over the sea is amazing. I have done few villa all around the world and it’s my TOP 1.
Our host were so kind and thought of everything so we don’t miss of anything while being in the villa. Try 1 week there and you can’t go anywhere else for your next vacation!

I was amazed by this luxuruous villa since i entered. The view is crazy. All the equipments are just perfect. Hosts are So kind. The villa is huge and was just perfect for my group of Friends. We spend 3 amazing days there and were all very sad to leave. This house is for people looking for quiet, peaceful and relaxing moments. The Hammam works so well and is just amazingly decorated. I would go back to this villa 100% for sure!

“A beautiful, luxurious villa”

Set high above Agia Pelagia, this elegant and spacious villa has a large paved area by the pool including an overhead sail giving shade the whole day long. And to compensate for windy days, tall glass screens surround the property.

The villa is well equipped and extremely comfortable. The owners are charming and ready with lots of advice and information. The offer to do a grocery shop before we arrived was very welcome.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

“Superb Villa with Wonderful Views and Perfect Hosts”

Blue Key Villa occupies a commanding position high in the hills overlooking Ayia Pelagia and has wonderful views down to the village and the surrounding coast. The Villa itself is superbly equipped in every respect and the pool area is particularly spectacular. Antonis and Anastasia are perfect hosts and could not have been more thoughtful and helpful both before and during our visit. If you are offered the opportunity for Anastasia to prepare an evening meal don't hesitate to accept as she is a superb cook. A memorable stay in a beautiful place.

“Excellent villa in great location with views to die for”
Reviewed April 26, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This magnificent villa is located in full privacy on a hill overlooking the Lygaria and Agia Pelagia bays - needless to say the views are spectacular! The house is very nice and spacious, nicely furbished and can easily accommodate up to 12 people, children and baby included. The lower floor has its own entrance and kitchen, and is thus great for those travelling 2 families together, or with grandparents, or a nanny or even with older teenagers wanting a bit of privacy. On the top floor there is a children’s bedroom that can accommodate 3 children and for those travelling with an infant or young toddler there is a nice crib, a high chair, a babysitter and even baby towels.

The pool area is terrific with lots of space for fun and relaxation, including a new dining area, a stationary outdoor grill and an old style outdoor oven that we used to make our own pizza one night! The views from the pool area are stunning and due to the location of the house the privacy is total - only a goat or two, who wander the hills, might have a peek at you swimming in the pool - that by the way can be heated at an extra cost. This is not needed during summer but a nice option during spring and autumn.

The owners, Anastasia and Antonis are the most welcoming, kind and informative hosts we have ever encountered, and we are frequent house renters. They were always fast to respond to our questions and requests and nothing seemed to be any trouble.

The location close to Heraklion is a great advantage since it is only a short drive from the airport and you can reach many interesting and beautiful places in a 30 minute to 2-hour drive. To not visit Knossos and the archaeological museum in Heraklion while staying in this villa must be considered a crime! As usual, paying for a guided tour is well-invested money. There are also many nice beaches and villages to explore in the area - just ask the owners and they will provide you with many suggestions. The same goes for restaurants, ask for recommendations and you will have the most delicious meals.

Note that a car is needed for this villa since it is located on a hill and there are no pavements or even walking trails to reach the villa without a car.

All in all, a wonderful house in a great location combined with lovely hosts - what could go wrong!
