“Absolutely Brilliant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2010

first visit to this hotel but have already booked to go back next year , hotel is brilliant and the owners Alain and Patrice are really genuine people who do everything to make your stay perfect . the hotel itself is small and friendly with good food and very reasonably priced drinks , we stayed in the jacuzzi room with a fantastic sea view and couldnt find any faults at all , the room gets cleaned daily to a very high standard and matches the rest of the Hotel which is kept beautifully clean and tidy .
if you are looking for a loud noisy up till 2 in the morning sort of holiday then this one isnt for you but if you wish to have a relaxing looked after time then book here !!!!! you wont be dissapointed .
The beach is literallly 2 minutes walk however you do have to cross a road , there is a zebra crossing but as usual they dont seem to mean much out there but it really isnt a problem as long as you are sensible.
we loved it and i would recommend this hotel to anyone .

My friend and I stayed here mid May of 2010. We had been staying at another larger hotel a few minutes drive away in Les Issambres and were not happy with the hotel there. We had driven by the Hotel Cap Riviera and decided to check it out. We were sooo glad we did! To our delight, we were able to move in the same day. We had an excellent room overlooking the sea with a cute balcony. The room was very clean, the price was better than the price we had at the previous hotel where we had no sea view nor breakfast included! We both loved this charming little place and fell in love with it immediately. Yes, we had a car - you would need one in this whole area anyways. Yes, the room we had was not huge, but you also have a balcony to sit outside on. Oh, and it is true you can see the beach while you shower!! I have a picture of this and will post it at a later date.

Already planning to go back next year and will for sure stay here again! I have traveled extensively and I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my family and friends.

We stayed here for 8 nights, actually during the terrible flooding that hit the area in June 2010, we found the owners Alain & Patrizia to be fantastic and so helpful, even though at times there were power cuts and no water they kept the hotel going and fed us etc....We also had some car troubles and they went as far as to lend us their car which was an absolute lifesaver! Very kind people. Chef Alain was also very good in the kitchen serving some great French food, we are sure Gordon Ramsey would even agree!

The hotel is very clean and in the best location within St Agulf just across the road from a lovely clean beach, we loved it and had a lovely time. If we come back to the area we wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

I read enthusiastic reviews here, and chose it for a few days of rest. In general we are satisfied, and we could consider coming back, but my expectations were much higher than what I found in reality. Even if any judgment is very personal, I think some reviews are far too high.
We must say that there are very positive notes. Price is competitive for the area and location is perfect, being the hotel just in front of a nice and quiet beach (in May). The owners are also helpful and very kind. It is in a good position to explore the riviera, but to go anywhere you need a car, being it far from any town centre.
The "but" now. Rooms are very small, furnished in a simple way but freshly painted. I was disappointed to find as wardrobe a shelf cabinet closed by a curtain. Not a single drawer available. OK if you stay a couple of days, but for longer period I would not know where to put my stuff. The bathroom is basic, and almost IN the room, from which is separated by a sliding door. There is anyhow a good shower. The problem is the ventilation: the bathroom of course does not have a window, but forced ventilation is not there as well...Not to have it as a steam bath after a couple of showers you need to keep the door open, so finally the bathroom is IN the room.
Cleanliness: the pile blanket was full of hairs! and the floor, washed every day, had the hairs moved around more than removed. Not to mention the net with spider in the breakfast room. This was definitely below my standard.
There is no minibar in the room: this means that you don't have the possibility to keep fresh beverages in your room and that during summer your make up products will melt :-(
Service: the breakfast, not included in the price (+7.5€) is bread, croissants, butter and marmalade, together with coffee/tea and economic industrial orange juice. There is no possibility to choose, no ham, cheese, yogourt,..
For this cost they could offer more.
Mind that there is nothing in the hotel, apart from a snack bar that anyhow closes at 9pm.
All in all it is a good value for money choice, but surely not a dream place.

The owners were most charming, friendly and helpfull and spoke perfect english. The room we had was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with an excellenr en-suite shower room and wc. Our room had a balcony with a beautifull sea view. The hotel had on site parking. There is a road runs at the front of the hotel but was not didsturbingly noisy and could not be heard at all at night with the shutters down. The location is perfect if you want to relax with nice surroundings and a lovely clean beach just accross the road from the hotel. There are some nice bars and resturants within walking distance but we found no need for this as the hotel had an adequate perfectly cooked menu of its own. if you want lively nightlife then rhe location of this hotel may not be suitable for you unless you are happy to use the car.All in all, I cannot reccommend this hotel highly enough and I have already booked to come back for longer.

Lovely room with sea view even from shower cubicle!! Good balcony with views across road to small pebble beach easily accessed. Friendly and helpful owners with good advice on local attractions. Ideal location between Frejus and Saint Maxime. Visited St.Tropez with my daughter on Saturday, market day, worth-while for browsing and buying local products (soaps,etc.). Suggest boat from Saint Maxime, fare 24euros return, as roads very congested and parking difficult. Beach past cemetery is sandy and uncrowded with lovely views en route. Grimaud is attractive, medieval village worth visiting also St.Paul de Vence, although more touristy.

Having stayed here some years ago we returned this year with some friends and they were as captivated as we were on our first visit. Alain and Patrice are the perfect hosts in every way and their hotel is in the most beautiful location.Alain is a marvelous cook and an even better entertainer.A really fabulous place to stay and I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for quality and value for money.
