We spent 3 nights chez Linda and Chris at their lovely house in the middle of vineyard in Provence. We couldn't have been made more welcome. The auberge is spacious, the bedrooms very comfortable and for a group it is just the perfect place. Linda's knowledge of wines and the local wineries means she can arrange tastings and accompany you if you wish and interpret. The breakfasts were better than any hotel I have stayed in, we had a cosy supper beautifully cooked by Linda and then a relaxing chat round the open fire (It was November!). I'm looking forward to going back in the summer and trying the pool and the outdoor eating. Well done Linda and Chris, you have the formula just right.

The Auberge du Vin is a superb place as a base for wine tasting or hiking / biking or just generally visiting in the southern Rhone. It is 'living the dream'.

The accommodation is spacious and well appointed and extremely clean. Quiet and self contained with beautiful views across vineyards towards Mont Ventoux.

Both Chris and Linda are delightful hosts who could not be more accommodating, whilst being discreet. Highly recommended for couples, family, friends and solo. Should you be lucky enough to 'eat in' Linda is a superb cook.

Room Tip: You can stay in the main house with ensuite and a large bedroom with inner hall, or stay in one of t...

We stayed in September as part of a group on a 5 day wine study tour. It is idyllically situated in the middle of some lovely vineyards. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts (homemade apricot jam to die for, lots of fresh fruit, freshly baked bread and very good coffee) and very good dinners outside in the courtyard. There is an excellent swimming pool for an enjoyable relax at the end of the day. Our bedroom and bathroom were excellent and the housekeeping is exemplary. Linda is hugely knowledgeable on all matters relating to wine and was fully involved in our daily trips to vineyards. But most of all, nothing was too much trouble both to Linda and Chris; they work tirelessly to make your stay enjoyable and as hoteliers ourselves that was really appreciated. This is definitely somewhere to which she shall return and we recommend it highly.

We stayed at Auberge du Vin in conjunction with Wine Safari for “Sharpen Your Taste” wine program. After being served a delicious French breakfast, we were picked up by Mike of Wine Safari and brought to different areas of the Cotes Du Rhone wine region where we tasted a variety of wines. In-between wine tastings, we visited small French towns and stopped at picturesque views to enjoy picnics. Our evenings included delicious food prepared by Linda and Chris that complimented the wines we had tasted throughout the day. Mike had tasting tests that we preformed before every dinner to enhance our ability to learn what wines complimented what foods and how those tastes can change throughout the day. We would definitely recommend this program to everyone who wants to fully experience the excellent food and wine that the Cote du Rhone valley has to offer.

We had a wonderful family holiday at the Auberge. Chris & Linda are exceptional hosts as they anticipate your every need and quietly provide a very high level of service with attention to detail.

We stayed one week but plan on returning for much longer another summer - there is so much to do for all the family and to really enjoy the area and take in the relaxing qualities of Provence deserves more time.

Highly recommend the Auberge du Vin to anyone.

P.S. We did Linda's two hour wine appreciation course and learn't more about wine in that time than we had every known! Well worth it.

I am the mother of the bride of last year's wedding at the Auberge du Vin and I second everything my daughter and her husband said on the Auberge website. It was a wonderful, glamorous and fun occasion and was made more so by the untiring, imaginative and generous hospitality of Linda and Chris. A big 'Thank You' to both of them and I am back to stay at the beautiful Auberge both at the beginning and end of August 2011. Heide Eyles
