“Absolutely terrible service & food is not worth a Michelin star!!”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Atmosphere: In the past we have experienced several times to get the feeling not being welcome in this restaurant but we decided to give it a try once more, since it's the only place in the area with 1 Michelin star.
Service: Unfortunately we were not taken by surprise and the unwelcome feeling remained!
Service is terrible and you just feel almost obliged to finish the dinner as soon as possible since the owner and employees would like to go home........(The smile = gone)
Food: The Menu choose was limited since a part was not available anymore. Finally we choosed a dish which we all did not want but anyway.... The proposed dish was far below a 1 Michelin star.
Therefore we all decided not to go anymore to this restaurant which only is trying to serve the International Quests who are not (yet) familiar with.

“Perfect place”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

We had a table close to the window with fantastic view of the valley. The service was friendly from entering at the reception until leaving. We had today´s menu - which can be highly recommended - together with a bottle of the local rosé from Bandol. This is a "must" in this area.

“Luscious & Lovely”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

We paused in our wine tour in a charming hilltop village, and happenstance led us to a perfectly luscious lunch with incredible views! Who knew? Request the corner table for 2, which feels like a terrace even though it's inside. Let the wine steward select your wines for you. It's all local, fresh and fabulous, with flavors so subtly blended that you may need to ask about ingredients. AND the staff is gracious enough to let even beginners practice their French in ordering.

After lunch, visit the Maison du Terroir et du Patrimoine with its remnants of the area's rich geologic history, fossilized reefs and Roman encampments. As you stroll to the cathedral at the top of town, notice the roman cistern with its earthen roof that looks like a walled playing field. Buy some bread from the master baker just past the town square to stretch your tasty experience of this unique village into dinnertime.

“Absolute bliss!”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

We came here for lunch on a beautiful, sunny December Saturday. Arriving by taxi from Toulon we had time to walk to the top of the historic and picturesque hilltop village and chat to one of the locals before lunch. It is the most spectacular setting for a restaurant and I would love to go back and stay in the hotel. I would definitely recommend a lunchtime visit during the winter months so you can appreciate the panoramic views while you eat.

You can see the menus and prices on the website so need to comment on that - there are different menus and prices to suit a variety of occasions. The food was out of this world, the wine superb (and not over-priced), the service excellent - though there were only two tables occupied at lunchtime. The highlight was when my husband asked for a glass of red wine to accompany his cheese course and the wine waiter was able to point out in the valley below the vineyard from which it came! Go as soon as you can. It's worth every penny.

“Excellent food and service”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Our group visited this place on October 2012. It was recommended by owner of Chateau de Pibarnon - Eric de Saint Victor.
We choosed different menus. Best price was the Menu de Marche - 35.- €
Food was very quality and perfectly served. Fillet de sanglier was excellent! Choice of different cheeses was superb.
Wine list was very good and balanced.
Service was perfect, outlook of young waiters was perfectly correct. Chef Jean-Francois Berard visited our tables and introduced dishes.
Payment separately by persons wasn't possible.
