“I will go again! Access easy for the disabled.”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

A perfect two hours of relaxation in the hot and cold baths. A great welcome and full of people from all walks of life. Everyone was having a great time.It is possible to have all kinds of massages as an added bonus. I was in there for two hours (15 Euros well spent!) but a five hour stint would be better (26 Euros). There are different baths to try and a raging river. Baths are
both inside and outside. There are cheap rates for adults with children and there is enough variety to keep children amused for hours. Check out the website to find out about all the different formulas and options www.bains-couloubre.com / bains.couloubret@eurothermes.com There is also a sauna and hammam included in the session for as long as you like. There was a very warm welcome and the staff were very helpful. Access for disabled people is very easy with parking places just outside, large changing cabins and handrails everywhere. There is a lift inside to take you to the upper level and also the possibility to have assistance for getting in and out of the pools. They can also lend you a wheelchair for inside the pool area. There are also sun loungers outside to sunbathe. The assistant at the baths told me that it can get very busy in the winter but it is great to sit in the outside hot pool and look up at the snow capped mountains. October is supposed to be quite quiet. It would be a good idea to combine a trip to the baths with a hike, visit to the prehistoric park near Foix or a cnoe trip as well as skiing in winter. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It's enjoyable and very relaxing!

“Unexpected & really rather nice !”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

After a very arduous day in the Pyrenees, aching muscles needed some attention. The thermal baths at Ax have had refurbishment so now have 3 floors and at least 10 pools of different temps, jets, currents etc. family of 4 - €46 and was excellent value in our opinion. We spent the full 2 hours pampering ourselves in a quality environment. It's open all year so after a days skiing in the winter we may well return ...
