This is an essential fish fest whenever we are on holiday nearby. Certainly not for serious carnivores but there is usually steak or chops on the menu. The food and service is excellent although it helps a lot if you can speak some French because this is the haunt of locals and those in the know. The serious floods of October 2018 came just weeks after we were sitting here enjoying a fabulous selection of fish dishes. There was severe damage to many businesses so I do hope the lovely bars and restaurants along this stretch of the Canal have recovered. During the spring and autumn make sure you take a jumper/scarf/coat as it can be quite draughty outside. Being so popular it helps to book in advance too - get in early enough and ask for a table closest to the Canal for the best view.
