We were very impressed with this hotel. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags in the room while we explored the lake side, which is beautiful. We found the rooms very adequate for our needs. Our parents had a standard room while we had a family room with a mezzanine floor where there were two twins beds for the children and a double bed for us downstairs. The room was clean and tidy and had a nice view over lake and countryside. Thankfully we booked for dinner because when service began at 7pm, people were literally pouring through the door. Once we were seated and eating we could see why. The menu is extensive and our meal was delicious and such a pleasant surprise as it was not what we expected at all. We spoke to other guests who specifically came back to stay because they enjoyed the meal so much. Breakfast in the morning was nice, with croissants, yoghurt, muesli cereal etc. We borrowed some bikes from the hotel free of charge and took a ride along the canal. A great stay and we would recommend.

I stayed with my father-in-law for one night to break up our journey to the Alps. We couldn't believe how hard it was to find because the lake can only be seen from the old town. We arrived six and were helped with storing our bikes and shown straight to our room which was a touch small but we had a view of the lake. Dinner was very good indeed and finely presented. Cheese and good wine finished it off. A good night's sleep was follwed by an above average breakfast selection for a French b&b, and we checked out to do two varying loops if the lake on our bikes. On our return just before 12 we were given our room key back so we could shower and change hence the high score for service. Thank you guys.

My wife and I stayed for one night whilst travelling north from the Côte d'Azur to Calais. The room was small yet clean and reasonably well appointed. We stayed in a front facing room overlooking the lake which provided an extremely picturesque start to the day. The evening meal was good with a reasonable selection of dishes in addition to the day's specials, breakfast was typically French but with a wider selection of items than normal at this level of establishment.

Overall a good standard, typically French, auberge which we would recommend for a short stay.

We booked in here because the three hotels we tried in Langres were "complet". At 65 euros the room was reasonable value, very small with a double rather than a queen bed and a tiny bathroom with shower which was admittedly newly fitted out and perfectly clean. Very friendly staff and a bonus of having our laundry washed and dried for a mere 5 euros.
The restaurant has a full vegetarian option which is a rarity in France and the chef makes full use of his vegetable garden, even producing nettle sauce and dandelion ice cream for the menu. Overall standard of the food is good to very good, with pleasant professional service. A good breakfast.

Stayed here Sat night on our way down to the Alps in July, can't recommend it enough. Very charming and helpful staff, rooms small but perfectly adequate and clean, there's a little road noise but this wasn't a problem in the slightest.
What was outstanding was the evening meal worthy of any 5* restaurant at a very reasonable price. Compliments to the chef and his team!!
Wish we could stay longer as lovely location overlooking the lake and what a delightful small town Langres is although you probably need a car to get there -- we've cycled from the nearby campsite in the past which is also excellent.
We will be back next year
