Good hotel located in some distance to the town Orebic. It is a quiet plase to relax, but to the city you must walk about 15 min.

We booked this through Thomas Cook (TC) (they booked it through Balkan Holidays (BH)).

When we booked it with the understanding that TC/BH had a lot of experience in booking certian hotels / locations... but we were very mistaken.

This part of Croatia was the last part of our trip and we wanted to go somewhere where we could relax, do a little and generally just do what we want at our leisure.

We were booked in at the Hotel, which when we go there, looked very nice. See the below points!

1 - The room was smaller than my room at home. We spoke to the reception and they did not even attempt to rectify the issue. Staff were rude and very unhelpful!
2 - The room stank
3 - The All Inclusive option is ok but the drinks are cheap the alcohol is like drinking paint stripper!
4 - As vegetarians there were no options... besides, chips and salad...
5 - The swimming pool was not cleaned over the 3 days we stayed there... it was infact filthy

For us this was unacceptable especially as it is meant to be a four star hotel... I would give it a 2... at most!

Poor poor poor.

One good thing was the activity in the pool and the pool/bar staff were nice. Nothing else!

This is supposed to be a four star hotel. I would say that is a stretch. We had a standard double room, but the room was VERY small- almost all bed. Our hallway constantly smelled like cooking broccoli or asparagus. The cleaning service was sub-par: they didn't wipe the bathroom floors, replace the toilet paper, or make the bed nicely. There are no kleenex in the rooms. Internet is offered, but bring your own cords, as they are not provided. Nor are adapters available. The hotel also does not have a business center, so printing is out of the question. There is no fitness center, and to our surprise, the hotel does not offer towels for the pool or beach. Instead, we were told to go to town and buy some, which, by the way, are $20/$30 each. We went with the all-inclusive option, but that was a mistake, as the drinks were generic and the food was really not very good- the kitchen's motto is clearly quantity, not quality. All of this said, the pool is great, the beach is beautiful, as is the stone walkway along the beach that connects the hotel with the town. And there is a ferry to Korcula that leaves from the hotel dock every morning at 9 am, returning at noon.

Room Tip: Get the bigger room, and be sure to ask for a sea view

After initial problems with the type of rooms to 4-family members (due to mistake our travel agency) was everything only perfect. A perfect appartement (2 rooms) with a big terrace, beautiful swimming (entry into water with the pebbles, and then a soft white sand) in the crystal clear water, plenty of space for sunbathing, nice pool and lots of beautiful vegetation.
The hotel is absolutely clean, elegant, the staff is friendly and helpful.
All incl really means enough food and drink, every day something new, a lot of great tasty desserts, fresh vegetables and fruits, fish and seafood, turkey and pasta - simply choose each.
We love the beautiful town of Korcula, which is a beautiful view of the beach. Of course we took a trip to Korcula by a small ferry (25 min.). Next trip we went to the town of Ston, there are large and quite well-preserved Roman walls. On the way back we stopped at a nice local wine shop and bought a great red wine Plavac.
We were overall very satisfied and would recommend this hotel and the pelješac peninsula to other travelers.
Finally a small note - it would be good if by the beach were trash baskets...

I was with my family in 2009 July. we stay for one week.It was the first summer holyday with our daughter, at that moment, 2.5Years. We come from Timisoara, Romania. The trip was a little bit difficult, especially the last part, transfer with the ship. in rest the hotel was perfect. the room was more then OK, the employees were always ready to support. In the evening sometime was difficult to find program and a place for small kids.. The food: perfect!!!! see food everyday, perfect cooked, taste and diverse. Congrats to the Chef. as a conclusion: perfect place for a 5Stars holiday.

Room Tip: rooms to the mountain are more quiet.

We usually stay in self-catering apartments, but ended up here because we wanted to see Korcula, and couldn't find an apartment that would rent to us for 2 days in peak season. I wouldn't have liked a whole three weeks like this, but it was fun to be in a busier, more touristy atmosphere for a little while after staying in more remote locations most of the time. We had a beautiful seaside room with a balcony, right over the pool area, and got a great rate booking online and paying in advance. We were booked for breakfast only, but after getting there and scoping out the area, we decided to pay a little more for all-inclusive. (Tip: don't try a gin and tonic - they must not get many UK visitors!) Again, it added to the relaxation of our trip closing to not have to make any sort of decisions for a change. As for the food - well, mass quantities of food served to mass quantities of people of all ages is just not going to be the same as individually prepared meals in a restaurant dedicated to one type of cuisine. Given that, I think they do a good job of providing a wide variety of decently prepared stuff. However, I can see that it could get old if you ate no where but here for a whole week.

Spent a comfortable fortnight at this hotel on a half board basis, which has clean, spacious and modern. Our lovely modern room was at the front, facing the road and mountain. Despite paying a supplement for a balcony we didn't spend much time on it as it was directly above the main entrance and there wasn't much of a view (also had disturbed sleep in the early hours as more guests arrived in coaches!). The bar was a little expensive and the food at dinner was adequate - strange compilations, not really tasty. We often saw leftover food from the night before served up differently the following night! However we stuffed ourselves and washed it down with a glass of local red wine (tip: red wine from this region is ok - white wine isn't. If you like white wine, you need Istrian region white). Good salad starter bar and small choice of dessert - usually cake, ice cream, fruit and mousse. That said the breakfasts were good - full continental and bacon and sausages. Coffee awful - stick to the good selection of teas. Beautiful views, lovely pool area and beach snack bar. The sea was warmer than the pool in September, and so much nicer to swim in with a lovely view of other islands. Sea crystal clear - pebble beach so bring/buy swimming shoes, especially as there are sea urchins. There was hardly any enteraintment at night - just a local 3 piece band once a week and quiz nights for the SAGA guests - which entertained the older clientele but there was nothing for us younger ones (age 34 and 44). Lovely stroll along the beach path to Orebic town which had an assortment of bars and restaurants but as it was late in the season it was very quiet and low key. Ferries operate from here to Korcula (pronounched 'Korchula') which is a lovely walled town with small internal streets of shops, restaurants and bars. We visited here a few times as there wasn't much in Orebic itself. Do not leave Croatia without visiting Dubrovnik and Mostar - amazing. Long trips but worth it. Being on the end of a long mountainous peninsular restricts places to visit unless you hire a car or go on bus/excursions. There's a lovely walk up the mountain behind the hotel to the monastry with views to die for. Overall we had a lovely holiday and the hotel served as a great base. It is of 4* standard although the food and entertainment needs to be improved on. I would recommend this hotel and Croatia - it is is beautiful and I will definately return.
