This was our second visit and despite the transfer time ( Tui need to be honest about this) it is worth it. We booked a superior double room with balcony and sea view in the main hotel and its well worth the extra as gives stunning views over to Korcula The walk into Orebic is flat and along the seafront taking in small harbour and picturesque town with smalll bars dotted along. We had no trouble with bar service but tipping makes a difference! A relaxing location but not suitable for small children Food was varied and plentiful we had full board and never went hungry

Room tip: Stay in main hotel with sea view room

It takes over 2 hours bus transfer from the airport but it is well worth it. Very nice hotel apart from there are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. Very close to the sea. Calm and relaxing and flat walk along the sea front to get to the town of Orebic. Nothing to do for kids though.
Good choice of food but it could be hotter
For some reason you can have a hot drink with breakfast but not with your evening meal. I don't get why.

Holiday Notes
We arrived and checked in fine with no issues. We were then directed to our room with baby and pushchair in tow, up lots of steps and in the last room at the furthest point away from the hotel.
Outside of our room was what looked like headstone, Christian cross? Not pleasant, Also some sort of work compound with vehicles in it, our view was the “annex” in front (someone’s door), now I’m not normally fussed about a view but this was really awful.
The work vehicle in the compound woke us up at 7am, 6am English time.
These rooms were not as shown on the advert for the hotel, basic and very small, the advert images are much more luxury. Georgia only had outside the bathroom and
in front of the bed to crawl back and forth. Luckily the open socket was not in her reach.
Not suitable for a child at all, never mind the steps to get there with the pushchair. No kettle, fridge, microwave meaning we had no facilities to make Georgia's bottles and food.
We were made to feel like because we had a child we were put in the furthest room away.
We asked to move the same day and were told nothing could be done until manager was in next day.
Next day at 8am I went to see the manager who was very good initially, she moved us to the hotel with access to the dining area for Georgia's needs, stillnot completely convenient but manageable. She then seemed to get annoyed when I asked for the baby cot to be brought down from the other room and the mini bar (fridge) to be emptied for her food.

We went to find the supermarket as we were just bed and breakfast, small store more than 300meters away, not much good to us as we didn't have facilities to cook so only
bought snacks. Small scruffy looking cafe near by but nothing else.

Walked along the sea front once down all the steps out of the hotel, bad paving made it difficult with the pushchair about half way along.
Nothing around until past the harbour which is 1.5km away so the "bars and restaurants" are further than the 300meters stated on the advert. The harbour does have a
fast-food takeout trailer and 2 cafe's if you like greasy burgers or want to watch the cars coming off the ferry.
Along where these bars and restaurants are meant to be there was two restaurants open with limited menus, most fish was “to fresh to keep in” and a souvenir shop, everything else was closed.
No entertainment, no live music nothing. Georgia spent most of the time in her pushchair while we tried to find somewhere to go. The hotel didn't have anything other than a terrible
twinkly CD playing the noise of English songs without the words, on repeat, all day.
There was nowhere to put Georgia down other than the hotel reception or the outside bar area where she climbed up chairs, tables and windows, was constantly picked up and moved away from doors, steps, drinks etc. Family friendly hotel with no playpark or even a patch of grass.
I had to ask for the high chair to be cleaned as it was still as we left it the day before (I always clean up after Georgia and left some bits intentionally to see if it was cleaned).
The bar service was terrible as well, one old guy who, when he was actually there (as he was either missing, clearing tables or in the back room) took about 10 minutes to serve each person, cringe if anyone asked for a cocktail, was quicker to walk to the harbour.
On Monday we walked along to book some trips to get out of the hotel only to find that they had all been cancelled, apparently due to the weather, Jet2 had two bus
trips left on though...wine tasting and wine tasting! If only we hadn't of taken Georgia.
Note that the sea still had lots of boats flying around on it while these trips were off. Weather was lovely and sea conditions did not warrant cancellation of trips. That would be
down to numbers being out of season, why sell a holiday to people if the resort closes down to that extent?
When we booked a quiet family holiday on the coast with bars and restaurants we did not expect to be confined to the hotel, we did not expect shows/tributes or in your face entertainment but something would have done. It was advertised as family friendly,
it certainly was not!
Hays travel contacted Jet2 on our behalf to advise we wanted to come home. When Samantha from Jet2 asked why we wanted to come home Hays advised her of
the issues and were met with the response.. "well it is out of season". Jet2 should not be selling holidays at this resort when everything is shut down for winter!
It was more convenient with a baby to return home early than sit around doing nothing trying to entertain Georgia. There were no flights into Newcastle, only
Manchester which cost us an additional £103 plus the fuel home and the inconvenience for my step father who had to travel to get us.
I have never in my life experienced such a terrible time abroad, I cried for 3 days, from the second we got there it was an absolute nightmare. Our first holiday as a family of three ruined!
Strangers who witnessed our troubles even approached us with their contact details to verify just how bad this holiday was.

Based on other review we should count ourselves lucky that the room we got in the outbuilding had a nice view on the top floor.

Room was nice enough, clean modern etc.

Restaurant could do with a refurb but was nice enough. Food good, enjoyed each meal. dessert choices could be improved a bit. Coffee machine struggled with so much use each breakfast and often queue for not great machine coffee. However I must say the Chefs and waiting staff were excellent throughout and very friendly.

Pool was good quality and the balcony and pool area out the back of the hotel had nice views over to korcula. Orebic wasn’t very interesting really, a lot closed in October.

We visited orebic in Croatia on the 9th of October, we arrived just in time for lunch, which was good, after a 2hour transfer from Dubrovnik airport , transfers in a taxi were pretty expensive around €250 return we managed to book a transfer for €125 return through a company on easyJets website called holiday taxis,
Anyway Back too the hotel, the front desk staff I believe the lady was named Ivona very pleasant and welcoming, which kicked us off too a great start she got a guy too help us with our bags, and directed us too the dining room while our room was being prepared, lunch was very good we went all inclusive and I must say it’s the best all inclusive I’ve ever had and I’m a pescatarian so sometimes there is not much choice for me there was also free red or white wine ,the view from the restaurant was beautiful, we were instantly blown away by the beauty of the place, we went out on the terrace and had a look at the pool and the loungers all very nice, we then went up too our room, lovely decor and clean with enough space for the two of us, beautiful view from the window of the awesome mountain beyond the hotel, we freshened up then went for s stroll on the promenade beautiful crystal clear water stunning views peaceful, but apparently this time is nearing the end of there holiday season, but found it perfect, we bumped into a couple of ladies that were on the same transfer minibus as us and they were just as much in AWE of the place as we were, the next day we took a boat too korkula just across the water from the hotel this cost 48kuna for the two of us return but you pay for each journal as you get on, it was about a 15minute journey, it is also known as the home of Marco Polo,
What can I say this is an absolute must it has gone down in our book as the most beautiful little town we have ever visited unspoilt uncluttered great food stunning views great people the list goes we didn’t think it could get much better than where we had just left but we’re proved wrong what a fantastic day ❤️ highly recommended I can’t wait too go back unspoilt gem .
