Hotel:

The hotel is a small hotel with 20 rooms and 2 apartments, spread over 5 floor. The ground floor had reception and a day bar, the breakfast area and an outside terrace, small reading library and sitting area. Floors 1 – 4, had 2 triple rooms at the front and three double rooms at the back. Floor 5, two apartments and a communal roof terrace. Lift with glass wall. Hard to say the age of the building as it must have been through several refurbishments but there were traces of old marble floors on stairs and balconies. Neutral décor throughout. The breakfast buffet ticked all the usual boxes. Hot eggs and sausage recipe which changed daily. Salad, breads and cakes, Fresh seasonal fruit and yogurt, jams and spreads. Coffee and tea with specialist coffee on request. The reception and breakfast staff spoke English. They were very helpful. Fellow guest were a mixtures of Chechs, Russians, English and Bulgarian. Quite a few repeat guests. There was a part built block of apartments next door but no building work noise whilst I was there - sign said due (2019).

Room:
My room was a large functional L shape room, triple on the 3rd floor. It was very spacious. There was 1 double and 1 single bed. A double sofa bed, coffee table, ironing board, desk & stool, wardrobe with extra sheets, blankets, pillows and duvets, desk, suitcase stand and side cabinets. Tiled throughout. Air Con. A large balcony with table and three chairs. Plus useful drying stand. Shower room was functional with towels changed every couple of days. There was a double door system so you could block off the bathroom and corridor which offered extra noise protection ( although not a problem during my stay).

Area
In the new town, close to one the town beaches. The street was a mixture of old villas, holiday apartments, hotels and shops. Lots of restaurants, snack bars, bakers, chemist and supermarkets nearby. The hotel was in easy walking distances of the old town, bus station and ferry harbour.

Good points:
Very large room, large balcony, good location, great price, staff were exceptionally helpful.

Bad points:
Maybe slightly dated décor but not an issue.

Tip for the Guest:
Mosquito spray; there are many old trees nearby in villa gardens. Maybe ask for a triple room; as they are larger. The triples on the first floor have the largest balcony but less view. The roof apartments have wonderful sea and bay views but smaller balcony.

Tip for the Hotel:
Maybe get breakfast team check list. As often silly things were missing. One day sugar, the next day cup saucers. (Not an issues, if asked for, it was bought out straight away).

Local tip.
Do NOT web book the ferry to Nessabar in advance, as it often cancelled being subject to rough sea conditions and the staff can’t give refunds for other web agents. Instead phone an hour in advance to check if running, then book. Same applies to buying return tickets. If ferry not running, jump on the bus to Burgas and change (just follow the running people (as 1 transfer was just 3 mins). Note the fast bus passes Nessebar and does not go into the old town peninsular. However DO book and reserve a seat for long distance buses and trains well in advance as they sell out quickly. Also check timetables at off peak season times as they are reduced from street signage.

Would I stay again?
Yes, without reservation. Great value for money, good location, staff and same front triple room.

Room tip: Maybe ask for larger triple room. The triples on first floor have the largest balcony. The roof apartments have sea view but small balcony.

This is my third visit in a year, this time for 4 weeks, so it says something about this hotel, a gem. Good clean big rooms with all facilities and excellent fresh breakfast every day.
Staff and owners are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
Excellent location for all things, central to Sozopol so this a plus for sure.
I will be going back next year and I usually never go same place twice, so this is a good sign.I can highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here in September and it was superb experience. Hotel was excellent, could not have been better. Clean, comfortable, very good location and very friendly and helpful staff.
The breakfast was a joy, a good and varied choice and all of good quality. The room was aircon ( and it worked well) a good size with ensuite, all very clean ,infact very clean.
Location was close to all restaurants and beaches only short walk.
The staff were very friendly and helpful every day
I have stayed in many hotels in Bulgaria and this is really a good one to stay in.
Sozopol was a very nice resort
Hotel's location meant it was quiet at night so you could get good night sleep yet was still close to everything
All in all ,SUPERB and can thoroughly recommend, I will be going again myself
Great holiday

Room tip: All is good so any room gives the same level of comfort
