“Good for religious pple”

It was okay but do think if you actually need a guide to visit these places. You can search the internet and find out about these temples. The source of five rivers is shown but nothing can be actually seen. Can visit once.

“Must Visit!”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Its a nice interesting place. Basically five rivers meet into one stream. The stream then collects into two pools. The water is really cold, and clean. I think its a little different from the other attractions, and definitely worth a visit.

“Typical Indian Temples”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

As one would expect, it is truly an old temple constructed adjacent to the mountain that collects 5 different streams and designed to merge all of them. The water is truly fresh & cool.

“Interesting Temple - It's a time capsule”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

I have been to Mahabaleshwar at least 10 times over the last 40 years and seen Mahabaleshwar change. But this temple (its a must every time) takes you back in time. It is the same as it was when I first saw it. Its fairly clean for a place of worship and still has the same religious fevor among the devotees. (I suggest you do not partake the waters of the Panch Ganga).
More interestingly there is this restaurant/dhaba just on your left as you come out of the temple, making lovely hot 'Batata Vadas" (Potato Cutlets) served with green chillies and dry red chilli chutney. Sadashiv Jadav and his wife run this joint and like to talk about life and tourists. They also make a mean 'Bhakri and Pitale' (only against order). Don't miss it.
It could be your introduction to simple Maharashtrian village food.
