Hotel Dina turned out to be most appropriate choice as the view from hotel itself is very good. This was one of the criteria as my 80 year old parents cannot walk much. Dina hotel is located in such a way that you can view valley and venna lake from the rooms. It is worth spending some time in hotel itself. There is a nice arrangement of flowering plants in the hotel premise. They serve both, veg as well as non-veg. Package is offered with or without food so we had a choice as per convenience.

I called the hotel 21st June 2010 and made a reservation for my wife and myself and our 5 yr old grand-son for 2 nights stay from the 22nd. We opted for EP as I am on strict diet. were told that the tariff would be 2000/- per day without food. As we were checking in, the elderly owner came in and when he heard that we were on EP, he said the tariff would be Rs. 3000/- and that his manager had made a mistake. There was no printed tariff card. We reluctantly agreed. We were shown an old dingy room on the 1st floor which was unacceptable as we had a child with us who would like to play in the garden. The bellboy showed us a nice room on the ground floor which we liked. However the owner said that that room was occupied. When I asked to see the register, he said it was reserved and refused to proove this and then walked away. Apparently he was waiting for an AP customer. I learnt from the net that many others too who have had such experience there, shockingly one guest told me that the owner once switched off the tv in the lobby while he was watching it, and he had to fight to get it started. This hotel is just greedy, inconsiderate, inhospitable and rude. Best avoided.

Heritage hotel with very spacious rooms and breathtaking view. The property is well maintained and staff is friendly. Very tasteful, parsi, indian and continental food.
Lots of stuff for kids to do. Games, books, cricket etc.

Great place for Family, romance, friends and all.

Dina - I will always remember this with the warmest of memories... I had taken my old doggy Snowy there - and truly the loving care and the fresh air that Dina had to offer made it a trip that gave my Snowy a new lease on life....

Located on the hill side, dina offers a magnificent view of the valley - the food is awesome and the home made jams are a dream...

The rooms are large and airy and the verandhas are so relaxing...

If you want to get a massage or my the famour MAhabaleshwar chappal - all you need to do is call for some locals...

Situated away from the market youa re saved of all the noice and irritation - however being close enough to walk down it ensures that you don;t miss out on anything...

I wouldn;t think of even trying any other place when i go to Mahabaleshwar next... Dina is the place for me...

Simple reasonable hotel just 5 mins walk from the centre of town, the food is home cooked, simple and OK. Makes a reasonable place for a few nights. The gardens are quite pleasant to sit and hang out in! Slightly grumpy owner, who does not make you feel quite welcome, but otherwise staff smiley and friendly. Would stay there again, but explore oter options too.
