“The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. They went out of the way to make our stay more comfortable. Nice hotel with excellent staff.
“Staffs were friendly and the place was squeaky clean. Dinner was amazing and was prepared hygienically.Beautiful stay would go back again.

This is an excellent resort. Reception staff, restaurant service, everything is fabulous, fantastic and courteous. We were amazed by everything extended to us. Swimming pool is well kept, Keep it up. Kudos.

We had booked a 3N/4D package through Yatra for Goa

7 Members of my family including me arrived at the Lazy lagoon Sarovar Portico Suites, Goa after a tiring journey from the Goa Airport which took approx. 2 .5 hours to reach due to traffic at some junction and we had to de-route

After arriving later afternoon, we checked into our Rooms – 44, 45, 46 . and that’s where it all begins

Friday – 17th August

A. Instead of Going out for lunch , we decided to order food and beverages in our rooms. To begin with, we had asked the reception if we would be able to order food right now to which they advised that though the buffet is over, you can go for the A ’La Carte menu. Once we decided on the food and started calling the Room service number( it took us 7-8 calls to get through them as the number was busy all the time ) to place the order, they said only few items will be served…..out of the 10 options, they said we can serve you pakodas and some VEG / Non VEG Combo meal…. The food was good however the time taken was absolutely ridiculous !!!

B. Then there worst thing…. Very high decibel drilling noise from the room above our Room Number 44. We called in the Manager to say that we are tired and if this could get stopped for few mins as we wanted to rest. The manager said they can’t do anything and that this would stop at 6pm. Not only was the noise in room 44 very high, even we couldn’t take rest in 45 and 46 as it was irritating to another level. So we all members who were tired from a long journey had to skip our sleep / take rest as the hotel couldn’t do anything about it







Saturday – 18th August

C. One of the ladies from the reception asked us how our stay has been while we were having breakfast and we told them that everything looks good but we were not able to rest the afternoon the day before and as we noticed that 9am the drilling had already started, so she said yes the drilling will be there for the whole day . She even inquired if we would be going for any sightseeing , we responded that yes we are going out but would be back late afternoon and would like to rest !!!! So she advised that once we are back, we should inform her and that she would arrange to get this stopped for an hour or so, so that we can rest


D. We returned in the afternoon and we requested the reception ( same lady ) that we are back and if something can be done about it …They all agreed and called someone to get this stopped. After 45 mins of nonstop drilling, I went to the reception area again to ask as to what is going on and once again they called someone. That’s when they said we have already INFORMED AGENTS / BOOKING AGENTS THAT THERE IS MODIFICATION / CONSTRUCTION work HAPPENING AT THE PREMISES AND THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I DOUBLED CHECKED WITH THEM IF THE SAME WAS INFORMED TO YATRA AS NOTHING WAS MENTIONED IN OUR BOOKING AND THEY SAID THAT YATRA ALSO HAS BEEN INFORMED ON THIS



E. SO ONCE AGAIN WE HAD A SLEEPLESS AFTERNOON AND HAD NO OPTION BUT TO STAY AWAKE AND REST FOR SOME TIME POST 6PM ONCE THE DRILLING STOPPED. I CALLED YATRA AT 15.50PM AND INFORMED THEM THAT HOTEL HAS ADVISED THAT THE WORK SHALL BE ON THE WHOLE DAY BUT NOTHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT. AT WHICH THEY SAID THEY WILL CHECK WITH THE HOTEL AND REVERT…..I AM STILL WAITING FOR THEIR REVERT







Sunday was good for us as there was no drilling !!!!!! We were able to rest!!!

AT NIGHT ONCE WE DROPPED OUR PARENTS BACK TO THE ROOM, THE LIGHTS WENT OFF…..WHICH MEANS THERE IS NO BACK UP IN THE HOTEL BECAUSE THE LIGHTS DIDN’T COME FOR 30-35 MINS AND MY FATHER HAD TO GO TO THE RECEPTION TO CHECK ON THIS…..HOTEL WITHOUT BACKUP….WOW AMAZING….IF THERE IS BACK UP, THEN IT WASN’T WORKING EITHER







Few other points which are very critical







Phones not working in room 45-46….any number you tried calling was only busy. Our family members calling from the other room - phone ringing according to them but no ring in our rooms







Apparently there was free Wi-Fi with 1mbps speed….Well no one from the family was able to use it as it was snail speed and everyone used their own phone Connections







HK staff would come and clean the room ( sometimes even when the DND sign was on ) however they would never replenish any of the items which they would take away.. They would take away the used soap without putting a new one …They would take away the used tissue rolls without putting a new one !!!! In the evening on Sunday, they apparently had opened the doors and put some plate of biscuits !!!! Is this really allowed when the guest is not available???? What if something would have gone missing…..Would the hotel management come up with the same line……. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BELONGINGS!!!!!!







Live counter SERVICE at the restaurant….So slow that on the last day , we skipped it even after our order was placed and we finished everything and were still waiting for our order to come….







Now there would be an question as to whether we did inform the reception about all this….NO, we didn’t ….the reason is that we saw how cooperative they were when we put our request to stop the drilling !!!!! Least bothered would be an understatement






I SUGGEST THAT PEOPLE SHOULD STOP BOOKING THROUGH YATRA AS TILL DATE THEY ARE YET TO REVERT AND LIKE A GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION HAVE KEPT SENDING ME THE BELOW MESSAGE

With regards to the renovation our information to the website as well all other channels had been passed on to keep the guest informed well in hand so that all guest would be aware of the renovation before they could confirm their stay with us.

Very good stay with Lazy Lagoon. I as enjoyed the sea beach near by Baga beach, Anjana Beach, calangute beach and candolim beach. I also got bike as rent infront of Lazy Lagoon. Service wise it was very nice. Food quality and food items wise is more and very good.

The hotel is situated in the Arpora area of Baga, a tranquil oasis away from the Baga beach madness but only a (200rupee) short 5 min taxi ride away for food, drink and shopping which we did several times.
The hotel staff were all wonderful, welcoming and always made time to acknowledge/chat to us. We had breakfast both mornings of our stay which were buffet style with Indian cuisine, which we loved, but also freshly cooked eggs of your choice, toast, fruits, cereals and hot & cold drinks.
On the first night we arrived we chose to eat at the onsite restaurant for ease and were so glad we did, the dishes we chose were exceptional. We chose from the indian menu but there is so much choice, including western style food options. We were so impressed that, although the next night we had planned to try food elswhere, looking around the roads of the Baga beach area, we could find nothing up to the same standard, so after a few drinks around the Beach area we returned to the onsite restaurant again. On both occasions we were served by Satya who deserves special mention because, although every member of the staff was lovely, Satya just went the extra mile, happily welcoming us in at 10.30pm on the second night without question and staying when the restaurant had emptied to ensure we were happy. At no point did he make us feel rushed despite us completing our meal quite late and the restaurant closing for the night.
Our room was lovely with a modern heritage feel due to the dark coloured wood and furnishings, the room was serviced daily and we would have stayed longer if the room had been available.
Such a lovely place i’m sure we will return!
