“Nice place which is happening over the weekends”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

Well, we missed the weekend and ended up at the place on a weekday. But the place was decently lit, well decorated and played superb music. The bartender was a jolly guy and offered us some not so usual spirits to taste and they sure were awesome. Superb cocktails but a limited food menu. This place can be visited with a group of friends who just want to enjoy their drinks, chat and chill to the music. Recommended.

“Awesome place with a lot of activity on the weekends”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is one of the happenings for people young at heart belonging to the 40plus group. The place rocks on the week ends with music from classic rock to retro. Good bands. The gathering on the week end is large and the dance floor full. The dancing on the bar top is an added attraction and surely misses the wet tee shirt dancing. Mario the owner is a great entity to meet.
Food is average and for Goan Standard the booze is over priced, but all in all a place not to miss out.

“Terrible food, sad to see the standards drop down so much”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Re-visited Cavalas restaurant this monsoons....we ordered the chicken xacuti- it was awful-it only had bones (seemingly from the pieces that are de-boned-literally there was no chicken flesh at all), and at Rs.300/- plus this was a total rip off. The Goa sausage was ok as was the Country Captain-blah but at least ok with some boneless chicken pieces. All in all the band that played was the ONLY super star in an otherwise food "write-off" night....

“Awesome Restaurant/Bar/Dancing in Baga”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

This is one of the best kept secrets in North Goa. This place rocks on Fridays and Saturdays. Advanced reservation is almost mandatory since it gets packed pretty quick even in off-season when most of the other restaurants in the area are closed.

They have some really good live bands playing awesome classic rock – Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Dire Straits, etc. Look for a band called "The Tide" who also play at the Marriott Resort in Panjim-Miramar. This group rocked our boat baby! The dance floor was packed shoulder to shoulder with hardly any room to move but everyone found their small niche to rock their booty and move to the groove!

During our 6 day stay in Goa, this was the best happening place to have fun and let your hair down. The food selection though not elaborate was pretty good. They serve a mix of continental, Goan and Italian cuisine. The Chicken-a-la-kiev is recommended. Service was ok and it appeared that the servers were hard pressed serving all customers. Not their fault as the place was literally packed!

Pricing ranged from approx. INR 400 to 500 per person. We met the owner Mario (sporting a large drooping mustache) a jovial and fun loving dude. You could see him circulating among the crowd now and then and keeping things in check. It was comforting to see some large-muscled dudes acting as bouncers standing around to prevent any potential scuffles or if someone got too drunk.
