Description: We are a small upcoming restaurant. Our chef / owner comes with a michelin background and experience of more than 10 years working in the Uk and USA. Also since our roots are Goan we will bring a small classic traditional Goan menu prepared by the chefs mother. Since we take pride in our food, culture, work ethics we try to make each and every one of our guests respected as we expect the same. Thanks you and let's meet at Patio 23.

We went in twice for drinks & snacks & both times it was quiet. Shame as it's very nicely done up & they seem to pay attention to the client.
The food was ok. I'm never sure when the food was made & whether a microwave was used?

Lovely restaurant with a nice patio !
I had 'portuguese style pork' . The meat was tender and of excellent quality , and came in a spicy sauce that was not very portuguese-like ! Lol ! Nevertheless it was very good !Desert also was delicious ! I would have given 5 stars if their mains were not just the size of an appetizer : if you go there really hungry you will still be hungry at the end of your dinner !
But it was good !

Despite reading mixed reviews, we gave the restaurant a chance, as it was interestingly situated: a peaceful terrace from which to observe the hustle and bustle outside.
Our first unwelcome surprise was when one of the waiters managed to knock over my husband's bottle of beer. He mopped the table haphazardly, but it also went all over hy husband's freshly-laundered trousers, necessitating a cleaning-bill. At the time, we gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt but, in retrospect, we should have left at this point, as it was a portent of things to come. There was no attempt to replace the beer, most of which had been spilled, and we were later shocked to be charged for it in the bill.
It is just as well I have a small appetite, as my meal of ribs was tiny enough to be a starter and the sauce, though moderately pleasant, tasted ready-made. My husband's prawns, purportedly home-made, looked and tasted like a frozen variety of the type bought in a cheap UK supermarket. Our meals, in short, tasted similar to what one would expect in a fast-food joint and, as such, with miniscule portions, were hideously over-priced.
The wine was another shock. As there was no choice other than red, white or rose, by the glass or bottle, we decided on a bottle of the white, figuring that it should be relatively decent if it was the only wine on offer. We drink a lot of wine and are able to tell the difference between good, indifferent and unpalatable; we would have settled for indifferent. This was totally undrinkable! We asked if we could return the bottle, so they could then sell it on by the glass and pay for just the two glasses we had sampled, which we thought was very reasonable, but were told this was impossible, as they sold a different wine by the glass. We found this a very strange and unlikely business practice.
We paid our exorbitant bill, amounting to roughly the same as in a fine-dining restaurant we frequent in Goa, minus the fine-dining, without leaving a tip other than the largely-full bottle of wine, which may well then have been sold on to some other unsuspecting customer.
