Me and my husband go to Goa every January. We usually stay for 4-6 weeks. Whilst over there in 2012, we visited 16 Degrees North to look at the rooms in anticipation of booking 5 weeks for January 2012. At that time the hotel was just newly opened. We very much liked what we saw and we booked a room for 5 weeks commencing 17 January 2013. We were dubious about staying for so long in a small hotel but we need not have worried. From the moment we arrived Carol and her staff were most welcoming. Our room overlooked the river at the front of the hotel and it was absolutely beautiful. There was a big bed covered in crisp white sheets and duvet, a flat screen TV with loads of channels, Fridge, Tea and Coffee and the bathroom was very modern with good lighting, marble decor and a huge mirror (along with clean white fluffy towels every day, not to mention little boxes of soap, shower gel, body lotion and shampoo). We asked whether we could buy or rent a DVD player. No sooner said than done, the Manager lent us his for the duration of our stay. We were offered several complimentary meals and were invited the the hotel's first anniversary party, given by the owner. It was a lovely evening with great food all complements of the hotel. On Valantine's Day the rooms were decorated with roses, rose petals and balloons. Just another of the hotel's attention to detail to make all of the guests so welcome. I cannot speak highly enough about all of the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Sheilesh (we called him Shameless), Ashton and Praveen (we called him Mark - at his suggestion) were really friendly and found nothing too much trouble. How Shameless put up with my husband's fussy breakfast requirements, I do not know. Both Carol and Reagan were always friendly and extremely helpful. The Hotel itself is really nicely decorated, modern and clean. Food is good and if you don't like Indian, the chef will alway try to accommodate your English tastes. I read that someone complained that the lift did not work. In all of our five weeks, we had no problems with the lift at all and considering we are both 60 and were on the third floor, we needed the lift believe me! There is some building work going on on the top floor, but the noise was not really a problem. Once new new suite is finished, it is going to be fantastic. All in all, this is a great hotel with great staff, we will have no hesitation in booking a further 5 or 6 weeks next year, in fact we can't wait.

Me and my wife stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in first week of March. This was our first trip to Goa, and we had a nice time in there. The trip was however, sweetened further by our stay at 16 degree north. It was exactly the way we anticipated it to be. Cleanliness was paid attention to, staff was very friendly and food served was really good. Everybody was more than willing to help.. Shailesh, Carol, Stephen and all the people not mentioned were very kind. It is a new property, and though there were some minor repairs were going on, same did not have any impact on our awesome experience of the hotel.. Cheers for 16 degrees...

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the building would give a nicer location, though one could choose any room her...

Superb location with excellent rooms. Mix of contemporary and Indian design. Good Indian Food. No Wi fi in rooms, but who cares when on vacation. The penthouse is getting ready. Go for it for the best views and luxury.

We got a great deal through our sweet taxi driver friend, Jaseph ( give him a call of you need someone to help you around Goa; + 91 98-23-856896 ) and his buddy Mark. The hotell has a modern look, and the rooms were nice. Airconditioning, and a fan. The madrasses in India is way harder than we are used to, but we got a big doubble bed, with clean sheets. Flatscreen with a very good variaty of channels showing uptodate movies and series. 10 min walk from the beach. But if you rather get a taxi, the Security/door/ welcomming-man is always helpful with the best smile I've ever seen. The rest of the emploees were also very friendly and serviceminded. From serving us what we preferred for breakfast to giving good information about other places in north Goa. We appreciated the clean towels every day. The hotel has a nice clean pool, but we did'nt get to use it much, since the sun only were present at that area for just an hour and half during the day. All in all, we had a great stay, so thank you so much! Linda and Bent from Norway

A wonderful boutique hotel and a great bargain considering the location and the price and the quality of rooms.
Great work by the team also to give us rooms of our choice and on the same floor and making our stay comfortable with them.

Great Place...

Room Tip: Book their premium rooms.
