Got to hear of J&A's from the Goa Love Guides and loved this classy restaurant on the other side of the nasty Baga stretch. Sitting quietly on the riverfront, this place has been done up with an eye for detail. Nothing over-the-top here, soft lighting, subtle colours and clean lines. The food was simple and full of flavour, beautifully presented and served with care. We weren't very hungry so ordered a steak and an interesting glazed chicken dish on a bed of lentils. Not strictly Italian but delicious all the same. We saw the owner/manager go up to each table and chat with the customers. The chocolate dessert was delicious. It was a busy night but nobody hassled us to leave -- always a mark of a good restaurant.
