Stayed there in Jan. 2011room very small no where to put your clothes as wardrobe is tiny no hangers no shelves, no runing hot water at wash basin had to fill ice bucket with hot water from shower to shave, very noisy at night ,and the place seemed to be empty which is a bit of a mystery.Breakfast bearly eatable bordering disgusting.Worst of all is the road (0r track) ouside the hotel, the ten minute walk to Baga is one of the most dangerous walks you will ever expierience. My advice is STAY AWAY!!

The location was fine, the stuff very friendly, but value for money was very poor. The bathroom was not clean, the curtain of the shower was moulded, while every morning and night there was loud music from the bar.
Moreover the bed sheets were not so clean. It is an old hotel, with esthetics typical of 70's.

I had gone with a couple of my friends for this totally unplanned trip and we had not booked our hotel prior our holiday. We thought we would manage there itself and really it was worth it because otherwise we would have never discovered this resort.

We browsed and checked quite a few hotels before we landed here. The manager Neal was very friendly and made us a good deal. He gave us great tips for travelling around the place and it was indeed helpful.

The location of the hotel even though not so close to the beach is amazing. It is very calm and quiet being situated in a lane and not on the main market road. Whenever people think about Goa, they want a sea side accomodation but believe me guys, it gets too noisy at times. This is the place u want to be after an evening at the beach.
The rooms were very well furnished with good flooring, very clean with good amenities. Even though the pool is an average sized one its nice. Also, for people looking for more space there are some extra spacious rooms too.

The breakfast served in the morning was good and fresh. The bar of the resort is quite happening in the evening. I din't get a chance to have food over there but it seemed like a hot spot.

Overall, i really enjoyed my stay whole heartedly and would really recommend this to everyone out there.

We stayed at Camelot between 2nd to 7th May. We had initially booked for Castlehouse but the driver Mayan we met at airport took us to several hotels and we finally fixed on Camelot after negotiating with Neal, the marketing director, heavy a designation but young n friendly punk guy.
Rooms were nice with window AC, mini fridge, color TV, balcony and pool facing. Rooms were clean. Beds had neat white bed sheets. Rooms were cleaned only if the room keys were left at reception. Pool water was clean but felt there was excess of chlorine. Chef at Stardust lounge was good was made some nice food. We liked his kathi rolls and orederd it several times during the 4 - 5days stay. Also, Stardust loung thru out the day played some awesome music. Everytime we used to come out of the room or to balcony, we heard lovely peppy songs to liven the atmosphere. We infact found out it was all hotels collection and not live radio.
Cons - Breakfast was complimentary so i guess that why it was not given much of an attention. It was mere like a formality. One day it had Boiled Egg, Bread, Aloo paratha and you were supposed to have it only with pickle or curd. Other day, we got only Idli and Omelette. It was very basic arrangement. For water, there were only 3 glasses kept and all the guests were supposed to drink from there itself. The bread was kept just under the water dispenser, so everytime you fill your glass, water would drop on the bread. There should be a few more items added in breakfast spread so guests have some choice atleast.
Hotel doesnt have a generator back up, so in case of power failure, you will be in dark and sweat. It happened thrice during our visit.

Other than the breakfast, we didnt find much of issues. Baga beach was 20 minutes walk. Club Tito's or Mambos were just 10 minutes walk away. Hiring bikes/cars were quite easy.

Overall, we had a great time. In case we go back to Goa, will definitely call Neal and stay at Camelot if he gives the same deal as this time.
Cheers!!!

I had been to Goa in January just after new years..i was visiting Goa for he first time..so was bit apprehensive and excited as to what to expect..but i was in for a pleasant surprise.
We were a group of 7 friends and we had the time of our lives...the camelot resort has excellent facilities and a very polite staff...and it is very affordable too...the resort is just 5mins away from baga beach which made it very convinient for us...the only minus about this resort is that their swimming pool is not really the best...but who cares when u have the beaches of Goa.. :)
