“Awfull!”

We reserved for 16 people at the restaurant and when we arrived on time they told us another group was coming and we had to free the table in one hour.
Food arrived after 45 minutes and portions were halved becuase the had to satisfy a double number of people on the food availability.

When we protested they aswered it were normal portions ... but we left without paying!

We didn't spend the night in the Kimte Beach, but could enjoy their bar! I think is the most popular bar in Jambiani: relax environment, good music, fires on the beach every night, and real rastafari men!
Nice and friendly staff, good drinks and food. I have to say that our food took two hours to appear on our table... but, no hurries and Hakuna Matata, this is Africa! :)

We stayed ther for 4 days. The stuff is wonderfull and helpfull. The view from the bar is incomparable. The stuff will help you with to organize excurtions (like swim withdolphins).
The place is inside Jambiani village.
The restaurant menu is simple but tastefull. Must Try pasta with seaurcins.
Thanks to anyone there in Jambiani!

me and my girlfriend are here in jambiani now for 3 months... the first month we stood at KIMTE!!! ...right now we rent a house near to KIMTE...and we stay nearly every second evening at kimte... we like it very much!

the rooms maybe not perfect, but good! the most of the people who come here for a day or two stay longer than they wanted to...

and we like KIMTE, because they are supporting the locals! not like the other hotels...which only interested in business. they pay to their staff good sellery. and this why there is a really nice atmosphere.

they have a nice bar straight on the beach. with a fireplace and nice music... (reaggy) and we see allways people from other hotels spending their evenings at the bar...

so after 3 month in this small village we know what is going on here... and we can really recommend KIMTE BEACH INN. ...or maybe if you stay longer than a month, you can rent a small house at the beach....

you can also organize all the tours from kimte. for a very fair price!!!

We have been in this guesthouse for four days. Rooms were terrible, my friends were in rooms without private bathroom, and the common bathroom was in terrible state. Our room had private bathroom but it had the wc broken. The water was very little, and in affition in the evining often there were no ellettricity and also no water.
The guesthouse around Shehe Bunglow or Cocobeach were a lot better at almost the same price.

The rooms at Kimte Beach Inn are a bit of a state with pealing blue paint work and grubby floors. Ours, room 6, only had one small window and was a bit dark and dingy. They are just off the beach so there's no sea view from your room.

We had a fan room with a double bed and private bathroom. The mosquito net was too small for the bed and I got feasted on in the night. The bathroom had a toilet, sink and cold water shower. For this they charge a completely over the top $40 a night low season (it's another $5 high season). Anywhere else in the world you would probably pay about $10 for a room of this quality.

It's not all bad though; the guys who run the place are really nice, it has a good bar on the beach and the breakfast is great too.

It's a bit of a shame, nice guys but grotty overpriced rooms. If you're after a budget option on Jambiani Beach then your probably better off at Shehe Bungalows a little further North up the beach, it's cheaper and the rooms are better.
