Great stay. Worth the trek. Setting is lovely. Try and get here before dark though. 4x4 road is quite tough. View is fantastic and units next to small waterfalls. Splash pool is quite tiny so don't expect a pool but it's all you need. River also have some lovely pools. All in all great place to catch up and reset.

We were 3 couples and had a wonderful time at Black Leopard camp. What an experience to do the 4x4 drive up the mountain. The peaceful time spent down at the river, sipping on a Amarula on ice in the splash pool and enjoying our meals at a nicely set table with friendly service from the staff. We also enjoyed game viewing from the deck. The personal welcome and care from Lynsey and her staff was excellent. A visit to Black Leopard camp is highly recommended.

What an absolutely fabulous 5 days at Black Leopard Lodge. My wife and I stayed in the Nguni tent. A setting beyond words . Our tent , set in the tree tops was nestled alongside the mountains but overlooking a trickling stream. The bird life is fantastic and we spent our days exploring every bush trail available. Buffalo and giraffe in no small numbers and the 4x4 trails were exhilarating!! had the pleasure of an unplanned sundowner with the owners; what a spoil. they are fantastic people with a passion for what they do. .A 4 x 4 with low range is a must if you wish to explore the vast wooded areas. we will return without a doubt. Thank you for a fantastic stay. The tent is unbelievably spacious, well laid out and with the open air kitchen ( what a spoil) and bath; a little piece of heaven on earth , it certainly is.

We had an awesome stay at Black Leopard Camp. We were two families staying in Black Eagle View, the 4 bedroom canvas house. The house is an awesome mix of luxury and ruggedness. The scenery is breathtaking and it is so quiet. It did us so good to get away from everything and everyone and to just be in nature. The service was great with someone dedicated to assist us with washing the dishes. We had a 2x4 so it was a bit of a struggle to get to the top i.e. 4x4 is advised but you can arrange with the owner to take you up the mountain. It was a privilege to be able to stay in such a beautiful part of our country.
