After reading a newspaper and several on line reviews we were dubious about going here. On line reviewers mostly dissed the food and said the staff was rude, but the newspaper review was mostly positive, so we took a chance. The guy behind the counter was certainly cordial enough and explained the dishes to us. Everything we ordered was delicious and very reasonably priced. The grilled calamari on spicy salad ($11.50) was great as was the cabbage salad ($4/8). The tempura soft shelled crab on Asian salad ($7.50) was fantastic and a real steal. The fried rockling ($9.50) was excellent, as were the perfectly crispy sweet potato chips ($5.50/7.50/9.50). The $5 corkage fee made it a real bargain. No credit cards accepted. We'll be back.
