“Get your burrito on !”

Easily the best mexican in the area. This is fast food at its finest, think a one chef hat restaurant knocking out food in a busy, happy atmosphere. If you want a relaxing quiet meal go else where, it almost feels like you are in mexico. The use of local ingredients is a plenty. Like a kangaroo burrito !! You must try if you can get a table, normally a wait of about 20 minutes, but that is part of the fun !!

“worth a visit”
Reviewed March 5, 2012

Being a Texan living in Melbourne I'm always on the lookout for good Mexican food. We had a great chorizo quesadilla ($12) and terrific fish taco ($6) between two of us for lunch and it was plenty. Their burritos were huge and looked delicious, as did their grilled corn on the cob. They have a good range of Mexican beer and three wines - a nice New Zealand pinot noir ($36), a very classy Dominique Portet rose' (around $40), and a white (can't recall the grape or the price). The place is small and is popular so be there right at noon if you're having lunch. They are expanding into the shop next door which should help the staff who constantly run back and forth. There are a few sidewalk tables on a quite busy street. This is more like interior Mexican food as opposed to Tex-Mex, and we'll be back.

“Very good Mexican food in a friendly surrounding.”
Reviewed March 5, 2012

In late February 2012, we were taken to the restaurant by a Melbourne friend who knew our keen interest in good Mexican cuisine. The decor of the place was very basic, seating capacity is rather limited, and some outdoor seatings were available at the rear. Do not expect comfort and luxury here. But when it comes to the foods, this restaurant will stand its ground against the best Mexican restaurants in Melbourne. The Fish (market fresh) and Braised Pork tacos 6" were delicious, and so were the Fat Chips, Chicharons and Ensaladas (gluten free). I would highly recommend this simple and unpretentious restaurant to mexican food lovers.
