On arrival Sam was very welcoming, telling us some great places to visit. As there are no taxi's out there she informed us of a driver that may have been available as well.
We arrived on the Saturday and unfortunately Fergussons down the road was closed for dinner. We decided to just stay in our room which was lovely and tidy and save ourselves for the following night!
We were up nice and early on Sunday morning to have breakfast at fergussons to find out it was closed again.
We then went on a winery tour (starving and hoping not to get to tipsy to early). We visited some beautiful sites around the Yarra Valley.
During the day we were thinking about what we would do for dinner, so we called the lovely lady that Sam said might be available to drive us into town and unfortunatley she wasnt. Completely understandable as it was fathers day after all - would have felt a little bad if she did say yes!
So we decided we'd go to fergussons for dinner as its nice and close and we could walk home afterwards.
We were talking to our lovely tour guide about the situation and she thought it would be a good idea to check if fergussons were open after all they were closed for dinner and breakfast.
Not surprisingly they weren't.
We were very lucky she suggested us to check this as we would have been stuck in our room again as we would not have been able to drive anywhere after the wine tour!
Our tour guide insisted she would take us somewhere for dinner because she didnt want us to have a disappointing night in our room and hungry again. She picked us up and dropped us home which was amazing of her!
We completely understand that Ferguson's is a totally different business to de'vine escape and this is not de'vine escapes problem at all.
It was just a little disappointing that when we booked our accommodation,we got a package which included 2 nights accommodation, a wine tour and a free wine tasting at fergussons winery, so we assumed they would be open for business.
De'vine Escape was a lovely place to say, just very disappointing we couldn't have been made aware that we in fact weren't getting our full package.
