“The blandest of bland”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

Being on Wasagaming's beach/tourist strip, this restaurant need only open its doors to get hordes of customers coming in. Its outside patio looks inviting and the classic sign that's hung indoors gives the place a cool retro feel. Given all this, and considering I visit the town a couple of weekends a year, I only ate here for the first time recently.

The service experience for our party of four was a little bizarre. Two of us ordered the special of the day. After we did, the waiter kept coming back to us repeatedly to apologize and to tell us the sides that came with our special had changed. First, we had a salad, then we didn't, then we did again. It came with potatoes when we ordered, but this was later changed to rice. The grilled veggies originally promised just never showed up. After a long wait of close to an hour, the food finally arrived. Despite the disappointments, though, the waiter was personally friendly, polite and apologetic.

The food itself was completely tasteless. The pickerel tasted as if it had been boiled in the same pot as the cardboard-like rice and the soggy clump of lettuce that was supposed to be a caesar salad. I was starved, but barely ate half the meal. The complementary greek salad we received was the only genuinely delicious food on our whole table.

This restaurant doesn't need good food or service to make a buck, but it sure would be nice to have a restaurant that tourist regulars like me could depend on. Needless to say, when I'm next in town, I'll be eating elsewhere.

“Very Good”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

Had supper here one night and to our surprise the restaurant had been renovated. They now have comfortable booths to sit in along the windows. The food is always good here but it does get quite busy during supper time. We came a little earlier and had no problem getting a seat. Will be back again!

“Bring back the old Wigwam”
Reviewed August 3, 2012 via mobile

The food was ok, my son and I shared the nachos, the cheese tasted kind of cheese whitish. Much more expensive then it used to be.

Why don't they open for breakfast anymore?

“Wasagaming Treasure”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

A visit to the Wigwam is always a must-do when we go to Wasagaming. This year we found the decor has been updated with great results, as the changes were done in line with the architecture and wood character of the building. The new seats are beautiful with high backs for privacy between tables and wood room dividers have been strategically placed.

The menu has a wide selection ranging from casual to fine dining. Our meals were excellent and service was good.

Great job!

“Fab Historical Location”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

The Wigwam has been there since forever, well almost, but the food is here and now. The service is good .The restaurant itself oozes history. The salads and mains were nice and mainstay, but what I have to say is that the onion rings were the best that I have ever had! Absolute yum! Thick cut and not too greasy and not overdone. I loved those rings!
