I recently visited the Okanagan area enjoying wine tastings from the various wineries throughout the Okanagan Valley. Being an avid wine taster, it's a pass time I enjoy. Meeting people with a similar passion, hearing the pride from the vineyard in their product, the oustanding scenery and romance that comes along with wine tasting. Tinhorn Creek did not represent the wine tasting experience. I was very disappointed on the personalities, lack of attention and outright rudeness of the ladies behind the counter. My boyfriend asked one of the wine tasters "what is your favourite wine" and she had the adacity to tell him that it wasn't a good question. We had to ask the tasters to try the wine. There was no explanation on the wines, the vintage or tasting notes. And I had to ask 2 different employees to purchase my two bottles of Gewürztraminer as the lady serving us completely ignored my request and went on to help other people. The only exception was the absolutely lovely lady that greated us as we came in. She was so friendly and lovely to the group as we arrived and left. The facility is beautiful and the lady at the front was exceptional. The rest of the experience was not up to par and not on the same playing field as the other wineries in the okanagan area.

Lovely location, great restaurant, but tastings were quick and easy. The folks were friendly and having fun, nice to the kids, and switched on. As well, there were plenty of interpretive signs and free access to hiking nearby. Take note Nk-mipians...

they have a deli to buy a nice lunch at, even provided cutting board, plates etc for their deck. Great place for pinic type lunch and bottle of wine. Excellent hike in back of property.

This was our first vineyard on our tour and the first we had ever visited, it was recommended by the agent in the information centre as it has a self gudied tour which allowed us to walk around and see sample vines and read about the place at our leisure. On completion we sampled some wines and purchased a few bottles. Staff were friendly and professional. The gorunds and gardens are immaculate, very impressed with the maintenance of the place.

Be nice to yourself ... Spend some time here on the patio sipping local wine, picking at deli type foods, listening to good music and taking in the spectacular Valley scenery!

You deserve a 'Me Day' and this is a good place to chill out and relax.

The other local wineries are great too (check them all out; it's great fun) but this is and has always been my favorite!

Salud and Enjoy :)
