“Original and the most enjoyable”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

This was my first visit to the Okanagan and after having visited several wineries with beautiful views and good wines, Rustico was a great and fun gem to find. The ambiance can be felt even before you walk into the building and Bruce and his assistant were informative and knew the value of giving us a unique experience. From the cowboy hat to the whiskey-like pouring method, you have to visit this place for yourself because it leaves a great and lasting memory. The Zinfandel was really our favorite and we look forward to returning in the future...with my Rustico Pin ready to go.

“discovering a rustic gem”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

This winery was recommended to us by two competing wineries in this lovely desert wine region in British Columbia. We were not disappointed. Quirky is an understatement for this winery. Western themed, one feels like they've stepped into an old west saloon upon opening the door to the tasting room. The owner, Bruce, is a marketing man who has applied his expertise to create this backdrop for some excellent wines. His "hired hand ", Kenny, is a cowboy relocated from Alberta and he has mastered the knowledge to inform the taster about Rusticio wines. I went straight for the reds...big, jammy and easy to drink. We came away with some very tasty Zinfandel that rivals some old vine California Zins. We enjoyed every minute of our time in the saloon with Kenny. Lots of fun & good wine...oh, and we were deputized before we left. Don't miss it.

Loved the character of this winery...others so pretentious...this one is such a welcoming change from the others.

“Bonanza! We hit the Motherlode!”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

We have been going to the Okanagan every October during the fall wine festival and discovered Rustico three years ago, and have visited every year. What a treat! Bruce is so accommodating and takes the time to chat you up while serving up some of the finest wine on the Golden Mile bench. We have been delighted by his easy charm, and we ride off in Doc's Buggy with our Motherlode of our Bonanza cache and on the way out we ensure we grab a Threesome ... don't miss out on your Last Chance for a lot of fun with Saloon Sally, and maybe you can convince the Farmer's Daughter to join in on the fun! !

“It was very good”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

It was very interesting. A very small, cozy room. I'm a white wine drinker and there were not too many white wines available.
