Attraction details
Owner description: Named for the solitary majestic old growth pine of their Oliver estate, Le Vieux Pin sits perched amidst the famed vineyards of the Black Sage Bench: Canada's sole pocket desert, located in the South of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Since releasing their first vintage in 2005, Le Vieux Pin has captured the essence of traditional French winemaking, along with the bold New World character distinct to the region. Considered by the national wine industry to be a leading Syrah producer, the winery uses low input viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking to make exclusive vintages that carry with them a sense of time and place. These fine wines can be savoured nationwide and internationally, at select culinary hot spots, gastronomical institutions, and fine wine merchants. The pine tree stands alone. We invite you to visit us, our Tasting Room is open the following hours: Nov 1 - March 15: By Appointment only. March 16 - May 15: 7 days a week 11am-5pm. May 16 - Jun 30: Sun-Wed 11am-5pm, Thurs-Sat 10:30am-6:30pm. Jul 1 - Sept 30: 7 days a week 10:30am-6:30pm. Oct 1 - Oct 31: 7 days a week 11am- 5pm.

It is a lovely little winery, with an old world feel to it. The staff were very professional and knew their product, giving us an appreciation for not only the wine but for the process as well. Loved it!

“A blend of new and old world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

Le Vieux Pin produces some fantastic wines, the best of old world style and refinement and new world technology and flexability. The tasting room is always staffed with very friendly and knowledgeable people. A must stop when wine tasting in the OK valley.

“Excellent wines”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2012

The winery is quite small and intimate but my husband and I really enjoyed the wines there. They are similar to European wines. The only problem is that it was so expensive. I would have loved to buy a few bottles but couldn't justify the price.

“An elegant wine experience...outstanding!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

In a word...elegant. The Belle Pinot Noir is outrageously good and the Vaila rose' tastes like it should...not at all sweet, simply refreshing, fruity and yummy. From the beautiful sense of arrival, and stories of hand-picked grapes, to pairing the right stemware with every wine, this is a do-not-miss wine experience.
