We recently drove from the U.S. to spend only one night in the Rose Room while my son & I traveled for our 1st trip up to Whistler & back home in a day and a half. Yes, that IS possible to do from the U.S.! Everything was spotless, in the room & throughout the house. The evening we arrived was a hot one. So Marianne encouraged us to sit outside on their deck to enjoy the view & sunset. She gave us privacy but brought us tea. They had a "bug-zapper" plugged in, but there were NO bugs in the air on their deck to be zapped!
The sheets on my bed were VERY soft and luxurious feeling. As mentioned in another review, the bathroom was sun-drenched & looked like it came out of Sunset Magazine. There was little noise during the night that we stayed over. The breakfast was both filling & tasty, and the views from the room & deck were beyond "outstanding."
It felt like a very expensive overnight stay but was not. Though the house was built with fine materials and gorgeously appointed, the hosts were unpretentious & concerned for our well-being.
We were happy with our decision to stay in this particular b&b and to stay in Squamish, a much less intense destination than Whistler. It was easy to get food, groceries and gas by driving down into the town of Squamish.
If you've never been to Whistler, be prepared...the views going from Horseshoe Bay to Whistler are fantastic, but the views coming back down are even more so! We should have stayed many nights and enjoyed the scenery for much longer than we did on this brief exploratory trip.
We highly recommend The Highlands in Squamish.

Room Tip: The rooms are all separate and seem private. The views are likely better from the two rooms on the highest floor, but those rooms require two sets of stairs once inside the home. The Freesia Room on the entry floor would be more convenient if you have heavy luggage or issues with stairs.

We came for a few days for our 30th wedding anniversary. Such a lovely spot and wonderful hosts. Breakfasts were over the top! We stayed in the lower level suite which had a kitchen, living room, and a gorgeous view over Squamish.

We are a couple visiting this area and stayed Squamish-Highland B&B for couple of nights in March, 2013. This B&B sits cozy at top of Squamish Valley embracing water, mountains, and valley. The room we stayed has fantastic view of Howe sound which carved the land and leaving the shoreline of Sea to Sky highway a billion year ago, I guess.
Snow capped mountains are silver shinning at night and the stars are like gems at dark velvet night sky, which reminding of my sweet memory of past. The "Vincent" is the perfect music for this place.
The beds are very comfortable and room is very ample. The bath has five start hotel like. It has top of line facilities-Jacuzzi, shower room, and towels and decorations.
The hosts( Marianne and John) are happy Korean couple of 40's and 50's. They are very kind and gentle. They came here for their children's education and left just two of them after the kids are grown up leaving.
The breakfasts Marianne made were delicious and healthy.much better than our usual. Do not tell this to my wife though! The salsa Marianne made was my favorite one coming with the tempting omelet. I have been several B&B past but this is the best by far. The price is so affordable so that we can recommend our friends. Enjoy your stay here!!!

Room Tip: Every rooms are good for different reasons.

We were on a one month visit to Canada from Australia, to visit our son and his family, and to travel to The Rockies, Vancouver and Vancouver Island. We stayed with our hosts, Marianne and John, on three separate occasions. We can highly recommend staying at Highlands B & B. Our hosts were welcoming and accommodating of our needs. We were able to do our laundry using their facilities. Marianne provided breakfast for my husband very early one morning so that he could go skiing (and left my breakfast in our room for when I awoke!), and we were able to come home very late at night. And now to the breakfasts! Each morning we were very excited to see what Marianne had cooked for us. Beautiful, flavoursome and healthy breakfasts greeted us in the dining room - eggs benedict, french toast, stuffed omelette and a special traditional Korean dish. Beautiful food that meant that we were well satisfied.A lovely 8 nights stay. We must also mention the wonderful views of Howe Sound from our window in the Freshia Room. A spacious, comfortable room with our own cooking facilities, a gorgeous Italian leather couch, a dining table and most comfortable bed in our bedroom. Thankyou so much to Marianne and John for a most memorable holiday.....

Room Tip: The Freshia room has wonderful views of Howe Sound.....
