I had a so called Christmas lunch here with a group of 7 others. 3 courses is £15.95 excluding coffee. The starter was a very small slice of melon or a small bowl of reasonable soup or some coars pate with a half slice of bread and a few leaves. Mains were turkey, salmon or a veggie option. I had turkey - 2 small slices of 'processed' texture turkey with a gelatinous slab of stuffing. We were brought roast potatoes, sprouts and carrots regardless of the main chosen. There was sufficient for about half a dozen sprouts each and a small spoonful of carrot batons which were tepid and overcooked. The potatoes were so well cooked as to be almost impossible to cut. I eventually obtained cranberry sauce after 3 requests and we were given a jug of gravy. There were no table decorations or crackers although we booked in advance. Pudding was Christmas pud and cream, profiteroles or lemon tart. All looked mass produced as opposed to home made. Overall this was very disappointing in a town where there are many places to eat.
