A little disappointing. Both starters really good so we had high expectations. The smoked haddock was quite good but the seared tuna was a huge let down. Was so thin that not even Rick Stein and his band of expect fish chefs could cook that "rare" in the middle.
I think they all wanted to go home because we were not offered a dessert and then had to ask for the bill.
Not too sure why I left a tip ????

This is a lovely building reminiscent of Southern States and we enjoyed very attentive and friendly service.
I chose fresh Sea Bream from the counter and my friend went for a risotto with chorizo.
The fish was fresh and cooked well but the birds eye chilli and herb dressing - was a butter sauce with fine dice of something not remotely chilli like. The risotto was extremely heavy. I was hopeful of a fishy heaven but really it's ok just ok.

Went here on Sunday after a shopping extravaganza. The Christmas party menu was on offer, 3 courses for £19.99, or with a Prosecco or Prosecco Kir Royale for £22.99. We opted for the more expensive choice. Starters were fine and quite a lot of each. We opted for the sirloin steak for mains and this was where there were problems. We ordered it medium and when eventually it turned up both were well done. If they had been tasty we probably would have eaten them, but there was more taste in the beer mats. We were asked if everything was ok, we said no and sent them back. Two new dishes appeared and the steak was cooked correctly this time, although they had extracted any taste somehow. In all honesty it was probably the steak. We then ordered Tarte Tatin, only to be told later that they didn't have any. So all in all a poor visit. In hindsight we should have gone for the fish option as this is what the place is known for. This will not put us off as this is the only time we have been disappointed with any visit. They did reduce the bill by 25% as a result and good on them. Service was as usual very attentive.

Food was lovely, the staff were friendly but think as the restaurant wasn't full they seem to be understaffed. Would definitely return
