Well, we arrived on a realy bitter Thursday afternoon, to a pretty cold pub, who in fairness were trying to heat the place as best they could, but with a chilling - 20deg C outside [it felt like it] understandabley it was going to be a uphill struggle to raise the temperature inside to anything like 24degC.
We sat at the table next to the open log fire and started to warm up ordered some drinks and food.
Within no time we all had our meals served at the same time and all cooked to a realy good standard and well presented.
Being a businessman my concerns would be the lack of heating and lack of promotion of the business. I think it is a shame that this is not a bussier place, the place is clean, menu was varied and offered specials of Sea Bass and Duck Breast with the old basics of good old fish n chips offered with mushy peas, which I can recommend.
Even the beer was great!
Please take the time to support this establishment, remember without such we will slowly lose these gems.
