“Nice lodge in a great spot”
Reviewed September 27, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We stayed with 2 young kids (4 & 6) and we all had a very nice time. The lodge is totally fine and the location spot on. The (nearly) private beach was great and has spectacular views down Loch Lochy. The kids loved messing about with the rocks in the stream and had their first go at fishing.
A nice spot for a long weekend. Recommended.

“Fantastic hideaway ”
Reviewed September 23, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

My partner and I stayed at the Braeside lodge for 6 nights in September this year. Lovely clean place in a secluded location. We were most amazed by the stunning views of the loch and the mountains behind it, the photos really don't do it justice! Great location for sight seeing with Ben Nevis and loch Ness both under 30 minutes drive away, and if you don't feel like driving there are plenty of places to explore nature on foot close by. Fort William, about half an hour drive, offeres a range of shops, caffes and restaurants. There is also a small petrol station about 15 minutes away. For the BBQ lovers and those who just like to sit by the fire there is a BBQ and a chimenea provided, and we also had the use of a fire pit. The only down fall with staying here was the condition of the single track road leading to the lodges, it was really rough with too many pot holes to avoid, however we have been told it will be getting repaired soon. At the end of our 6 nights here we decided to come back next year for a longer stay!

“Heavenly, peaceful. Just perfect”
Reviewed June 22, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Highland `lodges. It is perfectly placed if you like being in the middle of nowhere. We spent time walking along the great glen way and spent time canoeing on loch lochy. The cabin has everything you need and is comfortable and clean. Beautiful views. Friendly lady. Just perfect.

“Decent cabin and a great location”
Reviewed September 25, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We stayed here for 5 nights and were more than satisfied with our stay.

Our cabin was really comfortable and well laid out with a modern feel. The open plan living room has a curved leather sofa and a flat screen t.v which we were particularly impressed with. The kitchen also has a modern feel and look with a decent cooker, dish washer, washing machine and a good sized fridge freezer. There is also a 4 seated table as well in the kitchen area. The bathroom is more than adequate with a bath that has an electric shower. and shower curtain. If I was being fussy i'm not a big fan of shower curtains and think a shower screen would be better, but that is just personal taste. The bedrooms are what you would expect and are comfortable. There is also good electric heating throughout the cabin which we found useful especially at night when it gets a bit cold and damp outside. The heaters kept us perfectly warm and made are stay even more comfortable.

The location of the cabin is set in scenic surroundings overlooking loch lochy, and we found it a good base to explore the surrounding areas such as Skye and the Cairngorms National Park, as well as various other places such as loch ness, these were all within a couple of hours drive. There are also plenty of walks right near the cabin and plenty of scenic views as well for a good picture ect... The road leading to the cabin as you come of the A road is a good couple of miles long and is fairly bumpy with countless pot holes at some points, and I would advise anyone to drive slowly to avoid damaging your car. When you arrive at the cabins there is also a steep gravel slope as well, this was not a major problem for us and is just a word of advice.

On arrival the owner was really friendly and made us feel welcome which is always good in my opinion.

In terms of price we were happy and found it more affordable than other lettings in the same area. So no problems there.

Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and would stay again.

“Well equipped lodge in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed August 15, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Extremely comfortable lodge in beautiful surroundings overlooking Loch Lochy. There is a 4 mile single track road to get to the lodge and a rather steep gravel slope down to the loch. However, the lodge is very well equipped with everything you should need and Janet the owner was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave great tips on where to visit. We also managed to see the "resident" pine martin which was coaxed with a jam sandwich. A great location for exploring this part of Scotland.
