Clotworthy House is lovely to visit - good cafe and nice gardens. There is also a super little museum which is a must to visit! I love the walks through the grounds - either by the river or to the ponds. The Gardens were originally designed by Le Notre who designed the gardens at Versailles. Find the dogs' graveyard - when one of her dogs died the lady of the manor ordered that all her servants' dogs should attend the funeral dressed in mourning - the dogs that is! Climb (easily) the Motte and have a great view over the countryside or wander by the river and watch the ducks and herons. A lovely place to walk
