Stopped overnight while on a visit to NEC. I found the whole place very uncomfortable. The layout of the room was uncomfortable, the mattress was very uncomfortable, you could hear the springs twang. The shower room was brand new and impressive but the light switch for the bathroom was next to the entrance door for the room? It wasn't quaint, it was just annoying. Similarly there are great big tables in the dining room, overly plush curtains but disproportionally small chairs for the diners. The rating I've given is really only for the food which came in large portions and was reasonably priced, there was also a gluten free bread option served with breakfast but that was spoiled because my tattooed, biker partner was served his morning coffee in a silly froo froo floral china cup and saucer, what's that about? I'm getting annoyed just remembering the place. It must be good for events but I wouldn't recommend it for a casual overnight stay.

We attended the wedding of 'the old codgers' recently and were very impressed with the hotel and its staff. The wedding was beautifully arranged, table decorations were lovely and the meal was superb. Excellent food and very good service. It was an ideal place for our friends to finally 'tie the knot' and the occasion was enjoyed by all. The early evening sunshine and beautiful gardens ensured lots of lovely photographs to remember the day.

My parents have eaten here on numerous occasions since opening. 8 of us travelled from Scotland for my parents 60th wedding anniversary celebration held here. It was eventful! Nothing was too much trouble. A glass of juice was knocked over, one of our party required medical attention, one was in a wheelchair, 3 of our party arrived late and one was 3 1/2years old. I cannot praise the staff highly enough who coped with all this.

The private room allocated for our celebration was fabulous, we had brought bit and pieces to decorate the room and the end result, created by the staff, was breath-taking! The menu covered all tastes and every one commentated that their meal was delicious. Various speeches and events held up the kitchen but they coped amicably and without quibble. With the hold ups that happened due to us, the staff plodded on relentlessly and made this a very happy and memorable occasion.

We were going to the quilt show and stayed at the Grimcote Manor Hotel and had a nice time. The staff were very friendly and very helpful with the direction to the NEC. We also had a evening meal, which was very reasonably prices.

After 35years of living in sin, we decided to get married; we had spent a long day looking for the right venue and there on our doorstep was this hidden gem as we turned into the drive we both felt at home... entering the hotel the receptionist was very polite and professional she introduced us to Gillian. We explained that we were looking for a wedding meal for 14 and wanted an intimate fun filled family day to remember. Gillian explained that we would be able to get married at Grimscote Manor Hotel and have exclusivity of the hotel. This was just the start of a hectic non stop organisation of our wedding in two weeks time. Gillian and her staff were professional and oustanding. nothing was too much trouble, Gillian was able to fulfil all our requests. The hotel was excellent, facilities were first class, the food was to die for and the wedding exceeded all our expectations, the Brockington Suite in which we stayed was absolutely superb with champagne and strawberries in the room. our guests all sang lyrical about the venue and especially their rooms. We had three small grandchildren and too keep them happy Gillian allowed us the erect a pop up tent for them on the lawn the other side of the terrace where we spent the evening after our superb meal. The grounds are also fantastic and we were able to get some great photos.
We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and the restaurant is well worth a visit to enjoy some exceptional dinning. it must be one of the best restaurants in the area. . Thank you Gillian and all your staff we hope to dine here again and again...in the future. Also many thanks to Steve for saving the day when the music wouldn't play.. we truly chose the right song..." We've had the time of our life and we owe it all to you.....

We held our Pearl Wedding Anniversary party at Grimscote Manor Hotel and could not have wished for better. We could not have wished for a more stylish venue but even more importantly such efficient, pleasant, accommodating and cheerful staff who were truly part of the party too. Gillian and her team pay attention to every detail and take everything in their stride,

Every guest from age 3 to 93 showered the accomodation, food, drink, DJ, doormen and service with compliments, every age group was catered for in such elegant yet relaxed surroundings. This was a day we will never forget it was every bit as exceptional as our other special day 30 years ago.

Room Tip: The bridal suite is gorgeous - a chandalier and TV in the bathroom. Wow.

We stayed at the Grimscote as our friend's son was getting married there, even though we only live a few miles away the price was so good we thought we would make a proper stay. Preparations for the wedding were great, the bridal party mainly dealt with Gillian mostly I think and on the day itself nothing was too much trouble, and even though the weather was not good to begin with the marquee and grounds looked lovely. Food and service were great, everything was freshly prepared and the meal on day ( for 50) and evening (for 100+) was lovely. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, business or pleasure, good central location close to m42, airport, city shopping and nightlife and would recommend as a wedding venue. Why keep staying in impersonal hotel chains, support smaller hotels!! Thank you!
