I went for an evening meal with a group of friends and we all had dreadful meals. The vegetables were frozen, even though they were in season, and the meat items were dreadful, pies had been microwaved. The presentation of the food was good, but eating it was a great disappointment. The pub was busy with a good atmosphere, there's plenty of seating and it was clean and well presented, but I certainly won't be going back.

we took advantage of 2 lunches for £10.95 if you ate after 17.00 The food must have on the hotplate for hours the veg was burnt and the meat dried up with no flavour we asked for extra roast patatoes and were charged £3 extra for very little. We coups see that the young lady serving us was embarrassed which is why we did not complain

Food was not tasty at all, the place looked dirty, the table that we had was very sticky. Did not finish our meal, paid and made a fast exit!

I booked a meal for five people in the restaurant. When we arrived there appeared to be a McDonalds party going on with kids running all over the restaurant that was divided into two long tables down the centre and a small tabe for us five crammed in a corner. Had I known there was a party booked we would not have gone,
We were unable to have our original choices from the menu as they had run out so we had to settle for second choice dishes. In fairness the food was not bad and fairly reasonable priced. However the party ended as we were eating our meals and we could hardly hear ourselves speak. Once they had gone the staff started to re arrange the restaurant, dragging tables and chairs across the floor making a terrible din. In the end we just decided to leave without ordering a sweet but the waitress was more interested in re configuring the dining room.
As we left the dining room hoping to retire into the lounge bar we found that this had become a nightclub at 10.30 pm with exceptionally loud pumping music reminiscent of a gym. It was impossible to stay and talk so we went to leave only to find the doorway blocked by half a dozen rowdy drunken females arguing with two doormen. As we attempted to exit one of our female friends was verbally lambasted by one of these loudmouthed examples of modern woman (sorry that is not directed at all modern women). Outside was a queue of people waiting to get in.
Never, ever again will I visit this dire establishment. All I can say is that I am so glad I never booked to stay in the hotel. Coleshill is a lovely little town but the reputation of this once exceptional hotel is in ruins.
