“Lovely house in a lovely location”
Reviewed July 25, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

The house is well furnished, and is very comfortable for long and short stays for a larger number of people without making it feel overcrowded. It's within walking distance of the Rochester castle, the bridge and the High street. There are terraces which offer a spectacular view of the river Medway.

“Amazing waterfront home in Rochester”
Reviewed June 5, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

I stayed with my two children aged 9 & 12 and my father and step mother. What an amazing home with beautiful views of the river Medway. 3 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Very practical kitchen dinner where everything you could possibly need was available and no expense spared in terms of quality. Wonderful touches throughout and a warm greeting by John and Janet themselves and along with a very generous welcome pack to cater for all those breakfast needs etc. Can not recommend this place highly enough. Very good price and extremely high standard throughout our 3 night stay. Will be advising family and friends to stay here when in Rochester. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay - doubt we could match it anywhere else in Rochester!

“Couldn't have wanted for more superb”
Reviewed April 28, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Driftwood was lovely to stay in and was amazing from the moment we stepped in the door.
Everything is catered for and the welcome basket is a nice addition. The garage was a big help for storing my bike and we even used the washing machine and dryer to save on the washing when we got home.
Lovely views of the river and Rochester is very nice to walk around and to enjoy some food.
We look forward to staying there again.

“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed April 26, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

A lovely house overlooking the River Medway at Rochester. Everything we could have wanted, and more! We were greeted by John and Janet on arrival and shown around their house. The 'welcome' basket was a lovely touch. Walking distance from Rochester high street, castle, cathedral and railway station - which we made use of, going by train to both London and Canterbury during our stay. Comprehensive instructions for all appliances were easy to find, it really is a home away from home. Washing machine and tumble dryer were a godsend as a family with twin teenage girls, this meant we could do some washing before we got home and not come home to a washing mountain! We will definitely return when we can and highly recommend this beautiful holiday let.

“Just perfect”
Reviewed November 8, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This was our second stay at Driftwood; the first was for a weekend in August and this second stay was for a week in October. The fact we have returned for a second, longer stay hopefully says it all.

We have extremely high standards when it comes to holiday homes and have stayed in our fair share over the years both in the UK and abroad. Driftwood is without doubt the best property we have had the pleasure of staying in.

The owners, Janet and John, have just about thought of everything and we wanted for nothing during our stays. It is quite often the little things that can make a huge difference, such as the welcome pack of essential groceries, plenty of toilet rolls, a kitchen with virtually every item you could possibly need, plenty of towels, spare pillows, blankets... the list goes on and on.

For us with two young children, nothing has been overlooked. Things like stairgates for the top and bottom of both flights of stairs, a highchair, travel cot and bed rails.

The house is in excellent decorative order and very well maintained and that is something I suspect John and Janet will remain on top of. In addition to this the house is also spotlessly clean and again, I have no doubt these high standards will continue to be maintained.

We have just booked again for the spring next year and I'm sure it will be one of many future visits.

“Beautiful house - excellent location”
Reviewed October 3, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Stayed with my parents in this town house for a week. Friendly welcome and very good "welcome basket". It's probably the best equipped holiday rental I've ever stayed in and it's good to have parking. Great views over the Medway from the 1st floor sitting room/balcony if you just want to "chill". Well located for sight-seeing - as well as lovely Rochester we went to Canterbury and Leeds Castle. Highly recommended.
