Description: La Torretta is an Italian inspired cafe, coffee house and bar in the historic town of Rochester in Medway. We are located on the narrow cobbled High Street, and a stones throw from the Norman castle. La Torretta is now an all day venue, offering English breakfasts and pastries in the morning; a wide sslection of panini, baguettes and light meals for lunch; and a growing selection of hot meals, snacks, desserts and cocktails for the evening. Not forgetting a range of fresh ground coffees including decafeinated and 100% Arabica, prepared expertly by our Baristas. We offer free-wifi for use by our customers

“Now fantastic Italian Ice Cream”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

We called back at La Torretta to see if they have kept up their high opening standard to discover - wow - fantastic Italian Ice cream!

We had another delicious coffee (a Cinnamon Latte) an Anglos and a Contadino Pannini and a wonderful new toffee fudge ice cream sundae to die for.

This must be the best Ice Cream in Rochester - I recommend La Torretta, fresh food, individually prepared by the proprietor; friendly staff, warm, cozy atmosphere - and now delicious ice cream!

“Stop for lunch, cakes and coffee!”
Reviewed April 29, 2012 via mobile

A great café with a wide range of hot lunches, sandwiches and sweet things not far from the Castle itself. Friendly service and home made specials such as soup and crumble means it's our preferred choice over the chain coffee shops. Eat in or take away there's something for everyone here.

“Best in Rochester.”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

I have been here on numerous occasions and have not been disappointed once. The coffee is brilliant and my daughter loves the Apple & Elderflower drink. The food like the lasagne and soups are home made by the owner James. Service and quality of food ensures that the La Torretta dwarves a visit when in Rochester and you will find yourself coming back again and again. Go on you know you want to.

“Nice, friendly, cozy - best coffee in Rochester”
Reviewed March 3, 2012

Found this place by chance, staff were so friendly and helpful, service was excellent but best was the fresh-ground 'Italian' coffee, wide choice, freshly and expertly prepared.

Great food to go with, they offer a good choice of Italian pastries, fresh made Paninis - I had the Tricolour, Motzerella, tomato and pesto this too was really nice (Full English also served all day, plus specials including 'fat-free' Bread pudding), quite a discovery.
