Have just spent two nights at Cedar House. Beautiful house with wonderful rooms. What a lovely warm welcome from Joe & Alison, coffee and biscuits brought to our room on arrival :) The house is absolutely spotless clean. Full English breakfast both mornings, delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend in fact if ever visiting Rochester again we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We have just stayed for a few days at Cedar house that we found via tripadvisor. Due to the rave reviews we gave it a chance. Wow~ how spot on those comments were. We have had a magnificent stay, better than many a 5* hotel. We were royally looked after by Alison & Joe, and nothing was to much trouble for them to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Now~ If you like "a full english" for breakfast then this is the place for you. It was wonderful. Beautifully cooked presented and served. There is a full and varied menu of many breakfast delights also. Our bedroom/ensuite was excellent, in fact the whole house has a warm welcome feeling to it. Recommended.

I stayed at Cedar House for two nights with my husband, while we explored Rochester as a potential place to move to. The actual B&B is lovely, on a beautiful quiet street, with many extra touches that you just dont get when staying in big chains like travelodges etc. The room we had (putting green) was plenty big enough for the two of us, and had a tv, dressing table, wardrobe and one of the nicest en suites I have ever used- the shower was amazing! The room was cosy and like a home from home. The highlight for me was the tea/coffee facilities in the room were above and beyond what you normally get, with hot chocolate provided, filter coffees as opposed to little packets of nescafe granules- and the most amazing little cookies and biscuits. This was a really nice touch, and something that made Cedar House stand out from other places I have stayed in. The entire home was immaculate with fresh cut flowers in the lobby and the breakfast in the morning was amazing, so well presented, and made to order- with a nice choice, plus the usual cerals/fruits etc available too. The couple that run the B&B also live there, with their own children. Its a residential business and yet they were absolutley the friendliest people, telling us about their time in the house and area, making time to ask about our plans and our life and pretty much securing our vision that we want to raise our family in that area.

When we go house hunting I have no doubt we will stay here again. The location was great for us, just a 15 minute stroll into the main high street.

We had an excellent stay in the Cedar House and was most impressed. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable with full tea and coffee making facilities together with biscuits and chocolates. The breakfast was first class.
We would thoroughly recommend this B&B.

Me and a friend stayed here whilst working and I can honestly say it is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Rooms were lovely and immaculate, fantastic English breakfast in the morning and the people are great. Highly recommended
