Would have enjoyed visit more had we not been followed round by grumpy south African guide who obviously though us incapable of policing our own children's behaviour. Shame

This is free, Walk through the house and get the feeling of those travellers back then. The garden is especially beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.

Built by Mr Watts in the High Street to keep the poor from being thrown into the workhouses for sleeping on the streets. Very tiny, very well kept and really interesting. It is lovely to see that hundreds of years ago there were such kind souls around to help those in need. Well worth a visit when walking along the High Street - only takes half an hour.

This is an interesting house. We were just passing it as a tour had started so we were invited in. We found the home and the history of the place quite enlightening. The walled garden at the rear was lovely, full of beautiful flowers. Again this was free to go in, so an added bonus. Rochester has so many interesting buildings and shops. Very enjoyable place to visit,

Despite living near Rochester we have only just visited the Six Poor Traveller's House it is worth a visit. We took our 8 year old Grandson who was enthralled especially with the bedrooms. The garden is beautiful and pleasant to sit in and enjoy. While small it is worth a visit.
