Visited before, 5 years previously and still as good as ever. Nothing is too much trouble for Wendy & Geoff and their staff. Excellent facilities with a good choice of breakfast, beautifully cooked.
Location is spot on with plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance and what a view in a morning from the dining room. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Broadstairs.

We recently spent a week with Geoff and Wendy at East Horndon and found them both pleasant and welcoming hosts. East Horndon is clean, bright and situated in the right location, just above the sands and close to the town.

Our room was a good size and the ensuite was larger than most so we had plenty of room and found it to be most comfortable. We slept right through the nights as you didn't hear a sound from outside and the bed was so comfortable it was impossible not to get a good nights sleep. The breakfasts were cooked to order and excellent, setting us up for the day.

What really made breakfast a treat was the staff, they were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They had continual smiles on their faces and were suddenly there if you needed more tea, coffee or toast without being over bearing.

With the welcome from Wendy and Geoff and the happy buzz from their staff we had a great week there and would recommend it to anyone looking to visit that part of the country.

My 7 year old God daughter & I have just returned (sadly) from a wonderful few days at East Horndon!! We were very pleased when Geoff kindly met us at the station with all our luggage & took us back, waiting until the train arrived to carry our very suitcase on...a LOVELY touch!!
As soon as we arrived Wendy & Geoff carried our luggage up to our room, then Wendy ave us both a glass of refreshing orange juice with ice..much appreciated as it was a very hot day!!
Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely couple..I'd left my phone charger at home & Geoff kindly lent me theirs 3 times!!
We stayed in a very spacious comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the sea..Kitty & I enjoyed sitting at the table & chairs on the balcony for a drink in the evenings before going to bed!!
The room was kept immaculate at all times..even the towels were changed daily!!
The breakfasts were VERY tasty with a large selection on offer...we both had poached eggs every morning with me also having scrummy bacon & tomatos from the cooked part of the menu..highly recommend!!
I have stayed in various Hotels with my partner & I have to say East Horndon comes out on top for friendliness, cleanliness, atmosphere, staff & food...Thank you SOOOOO much Wendy & Geoff....looking forward to staying with you next year!! x

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5...very spacious & comfortable...ideal for a couple or 1 adult with 1 child...

Been here over and over. Very good breakfast. Super location. Close enough to the centre while being far enough away from pub noise.
Probably would be fully booked during Folk Week unless you are very lucky.

We stopped here for 3 nights and found the location great. It is right on the sea front, if you can get room 3, this is a large room with 3 beds, so can sleep 4 people. It also has a balcony which is nice to sit out on.
Our hosts where very friendly & could not do enough.
Only negative is parking, it just has a drive which can only fit 2 cars on, so you may have to park on the road.

This was our second visit to the East Horndon hotel and as we were so pleased with our stay the first time we took friends with us. We arrived a little earlier than we had originally said but were given a warm welcome. The room was again very clean and had everything you could ask for. Towels are changed on a daily basis and tea and coffee were replenished every day. The breakfast choice is vast and freshly cooked to order. We would definatly recommend this hotel and would stay here again next time we visit Broadstairs.

On arrival we were helped in with our luggage and were brought a welcome cup of tea to our room which was a good size and perfectly clean, as it was throughout our stay. The decor was tasteful everywhere, which made us feel at ease at all times, especially helped by the attention to detail of Wendy and Geoff and all their excellent staff.
There was a great choice on the menu for breakfast and all cooked perfectly. Special mention has to go to the superb bacon and the freshly ground coffee.
It is very quiet there with very little through traffic, but just a short walk to the middle of the town.
Nothing was too much trouble for anyone there and we believe they deserve to do well at East Horndon. We recommend this hotel to everyone and would not hesitate to visit again if staying in the area. To be be honest, we could find no fault at all!
