This is great hotel with lovely rooms and amazing views over the sea, a brilliant central location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Albion with amazing food and great service all be it a bit pricey!

The only down side was the lack of air conditioning which made the rooms very hot in our scorching July this year and the fact that I needed to keep the curtains drawn all the time because my room was facing the main road which was noisy at night and full of holiday makers during the day. The rooms are quite pricey when all things are considered and if they came in below the £100 threshold I think this would be better value for money.

That said I would definitely stay again!

We had a great weekend in August in a sea view room at the top of the hotel, have to say serious stairs. However lovely hotel excellent service from friendly staff and would not hesitate to recommend it. We will be going back and look forward to it.

Room Tip: Room with sea view a must.

Had tried to book a superior room with sea view for ages and finally got the chance in March 2013 for a short stay. We stayed in Room 19 which was a very nice modern room although smaller than we expected for a superior, the view of the bay would have been great if there were no fog as we experienced. The hotel had just been taken over but this did not affect our stay which was very enjoyable, the evening meals were excellent and we certainly intend to return during the Summer months.

Nice hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are good with a wide choice of different breakfast items.
Family room small but comfortable. Bathroom seemed bigger than the bedroom!
The only downside is parking, as there is no where to park next to the hotel. A voucher is given so that you do not have to pay for parking.

Room Tip: Have a room facing the sea or you will have a town out look

Just spent two nights at the Royal Albion - all staff very friendly, helpful and just overall extremely pleasant! Hotel was full, but did not feel overcrowded in any way. For us, it was great having the pub/restaurant on the ground floor as there was "life" going on all around us all the time, as it's clearly a popular place for non-residents.

Very clean bedding and room - tea/coffee replaced each day. Glorious view from one of the first floor rooms with (shared) balcony advertised as "sea view" (Room No. 11). Worth paying a bit more for that. Slightly sloping floors and quirky bits add to the interest. Hotel is in a terrific location and Broadstairs is a perfect retreat from the stress and anxieties of every day life. Lots of nice, reasonably-priced restaurants. Music in pubs some nights. Lovely little cinema... like going back in time. Would jump at the chance of going again (although book early if you want this hotel!).

Ask about parking before paying for more than an hour - they give you a voucher for free parking in a local car park once you've checked in (and car park is close by).

Room Tip: Definitely choose a room with a sea view if possible (and those on first floor have access to shared...

On second floor!! must be fit! but the room clean and modern with great views over the harbour if the scaffolding had not been up the outside of the hotel for repairs. Hopefully it has now been taken down!! Oh my god what a breakfast! sitting on the terrace overlooking the sea and harbour with the sun out - it felt as if we were abroad.

Room Tip: rooms facing the sea
