We ate at Johnnies last night and had pre booked. We could see the real charcoal spit in front of us as we were shown to a warm table.area away from the wicked wind outside. The decor is as we have so often seen on our trips to the greek islands. Mediteranean blue and traditional music in the background.
As experienced greek diners we knew what to expect and held back on the starter of dips, hot pitta bread, olives. chick beans and Hummus, and prawn Cocktail.and stuffed vine leaves.
next came lamb meatballs and spicy greek sausage ,,delicious.
Followed by greek tenderloin pork with grilled Halloumi cheese
Followed by King prawns and calamari in a herb/butter sauce.
A short breather (needed) and our pork and chicken Kebabs came (Souvlakia).
Well cooked and very tasty.
Fresh sald with olive and lemon dressing . Yumm
Then to round of a lovely sliced fresh fruit and grapes with coffee.
Stuffed and happy , a lovely evening . the place was 3/4 full by the time we left. Staff polite and helpful.
