Thank you Graham for creating this haven away from the cut and thrust of modern life.
With excellent service from Graham and his ever smiling assistant, great quality food and a wonderful atmosphere this is an absolute gem of a place. Add in the cute little garden at the back, knitted tea cosies and newspapers and this is the place to spend a few hours at the weekend (and any other day you can make!). The cakes are wonderful , the soup great and the crab sandwiches excellent.
I simply can't speak too highly of Oscars.

We had read many reviews about this small cafe but missed out on our first holiday in Broadstairs as they were closed and on holiday, we manage to go this year and it is really lovely. The staff were great and I felt like I already knew them. Great with dogs also!- water outside and a homemade bone shaped biscuit for our dog!
The menu isn't vast but that often means it's good food - and it really is. There were choices of lovely fresh local crab sandwiches, smoked mackerel pate and toast, bacon sandwiches - but everything with something extra to make them special. We both had carved ham, cheddar and pickle and each ingredient was excellent quality and the bread -fresh and hand cut. Lovely pots of tea come with tea cosies on them and the cakes are lovely. It has a shabby chic vibe and mis matching crockery and the clientelle is varied - from two older ladies sharing a pot of tea and mackerel pate to younger people. If you love good foood and ingredients-this is a must! It is open from 10 to 5pm ( I think)

Small, but perfectly formed, Oscar's Festival Cafe – just off Broadstairs seafront – offers tasty light meals and home-made cakes amidst decor with a Festival of Britain theme. Owner Graham is a friendly chap, for whom customers almost become his family. But the cafe isn't his entire life: he's also an accomplished artist.

The food in Graham's charming jewel of a cafe is as lovely as the warm and friendly welcome! Lunches and cakes are all wonderful! We come here whenever we are in Broadstairs, so if you are looking for lunch, afternoon tea or simply somewhere to shelter from the Great British weather, it is worth seeking out this hidden gem.
